Spalding Arena Slam Basketball Rim

This was the perfect replacement for a fallen and bent rim and bracket. I usually never write a review, but I searched high and low for the proper replacement for my hoop, and found it difficult to determine the correct replacement. Well, I took a risk in choosing this one, because I couldn’t see the hole pattern and bracket for this rim. So....see my pictures.

You can’t beat the quality for the price. Really solid rim. Very easy to install. So easy that you can almost figure it out without the instructions. Breakaway mechanism is pretty simple and feels like it will last a long time. The rim rattles a little louder when a ball bounces off of it than my last rim, but I’ve gotten used to it. Feels really solid when I dunk on it.

Perfect replacement for our previous Spalding basketball rim. Our old one bent when the whole system fell over in a big storm, so I needed a replacement. I had the old rim off and this new one installed in half an hour. It took longer to put the net on this thing than to install it!

I bought this replacement rim for our backboard and it installed easily. However, two of the hooks that hold the net broke off within a week. Also, the supplied net was stitched incorrectly, having one too few loops. I had to use the old net that came with the original goal, which, while tattered and dirty, still has the correct number of loops. I am hesitant to re-order a new one, for fear that the same thing will happen again, and replacing it will take many days, and this is something my son uses for 4+ hours per day. Anyone who can recommend a third party goal as a replacement, I would be thankful for the information.

Fit my Spaulding portable back board perfectly. Better quality than the original rim. Relatively easy to install with basic tools.

The hoop had very good instructions, more than enough hardware, and is a quality product. It's exactly what we expected.

One spring for this rim but man it's a solid one! Great rim and super easy to put on once u have the right size of screws to go with your backboard, you can dunk on it but definitely don't be holding on it.
