This is not my first weighted blanket, I've bough a few over the years and had a couple recently since they have come more affordable. Some I've bought from around £50 and others up to £100. This had some money off and although it said a long delivery time (C-19 virus caused) I thought I'd back order as it was nearly half the price of my last one for the same weight and size. On arrive i unpacked it and it feel soft but durable, it's not a big fleece type, but a polyester cover, which makes it feel like it will last and will not get all messy. The size is huge it's king size which us over 1.5m by 2m a doe a nice job of covering me when in bed. I opted for the heavier 9kg one which is heaviest and based on my body weight (and previous experience) is the one to get It feels great, for my it's not to suffocating but you need to understand the sensation to know if it's right for you. I've had it week now and It's as good as my previous blanket at double the cost so really happy.I will add that the benefits of using these blankets are subjective, but they work for me to calm my anxiety and improve my insomnia. Not all the time, as I accept it's not a magic switch but its definitely has improved my sleeping which is a massive plus and we'll worth the purchase

Looks like a high quality beautiful bed cover. 9kg one certainly pins you down!Personally I find the blanket too heavy and it's weight makes it difficult to move and make the bed.Biggest issue however is that it doesn't have a removable cover and it's impossible to wash.If I’d realised the cover was not removable on delivery I would have returned it. Didn’t realise until later.The buyers comment that a separate cover be bought for it is impractical as any duvet cover would be baggy over such a thin blanket whose weight makes it difficult to move to make the bed nevermind orientate into a duvet cover.The sellers description says it is machine or hand washable - it is not.It's too heavy for my domestic washing machine and at 9kg dry and even heavier wet it's too heavy for me to hand wash.The sellers claim that it is washable is also contradicted by the label which says 'machine wash not recommended'. The label gives no advice on hand washing but states 'professional methods compatible'. If that means dry clean only that is the complete opposite of being washable.Poor design ruining an otherwise beautiful looking product, simply not practical without a washable cover that fits snugly and the sellers description is completely misleading.

So I suffer really badly from restless legs, and I have been told that a blanket could help! Now it's usually really pricey for a weighted blanket usually in excess of 150 pounds, but this one was available for a third of the normal price. It had free returns so I thought I'll give it a tryWould not look back. You can feel the pressure of the blanket on the legs as soon as its applied, it's great, would definitely recommend the 10kg one.

This has made such a difference with my daughter. I brought a smaller weighted blanket previously and my daughter was kicking it off within minutes. My daughter suffers from sensory needs and so takes a very long time to settle. I decided after discussing with the wife to get a bigger weighted blanket and hence purchased this one. This is really great, she barely kicks it off as she's finding it harder was is what we wanted. Its much warmer now for her being under the weighted blanked. And we are finding her settling much more quicker with it. This is really good weighted blanket and well worth the money. May daughter is 10 for reference. And this helps massively as we don't get as many sleepless nights since using it.
