One fish was dead on arrival and the other lasted 5 minutes but they come with a full spare battery. the kids play with everyday (10 days so far) and battery fine. The swim for around 5-10 minutes and then shut off (battery saving mode) take out of water and dry them then touch both sensors and it fires up again
