Sony BD-R Blu-Ray Recordable Single Layer Disc - 25gb, 1-6X (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

Here are the specs for my computer: HP Elite w/ 3.2 GHz 8GB RAM Windows 7 64-bit CH20L SCSI BDDVDRW disc drive.Basically, I'm posting this to let any possible buyers that this Blank DVD isn't recognized by my system. I am using DVD Architect 5.0(which is for burning Blu-rays). I did a full reinstall of my operating system and software, and reinstalled drivers, et al. and still nothing. HP Tech support suggested I try another brand Blu-ray. So I am.Hope this helps your decision!

this is what i was looking for...i didn't know if it would work out with my computer system, so I only wanted to buy one disc (other options always included more than one disc, which i didn't want if it DIDN'T work out.) I wish the price was a little less steep... but I suppose it's new technology, so maybe in a few years it will be more affordable to buy BD+-R .

The item arrived before the scheduled delivery date, but I put in the disc to backup my hard drive but I wasn't able to get my computer to write on the disc. The seller sent the product promptly and courteously so I'm thinking it could be a defective product, but you can't be to sure anymore.

Go with the RE version. Slower speeds, but you can ReWrite it. I was pleasantly surprised that the disc wasn't compressed too much, you really can get the lengths and size it says. Encoding times are pretty ridiculous, even if the writing speed isn't too agonizing. I put the first two Seasons of the Office (NBC), the first season of Prison Break, and the first two seasons of Lost all on one disc, with room to spare. They all play very smoothly in the Sony AR190G. Overall a pretty good deal for the storage size, but I really wish I could but 5 or 10pks, or idealy a 25-100 spindel. All in due time.

I'm only saying this because CJ'SOFFICEPRODUCTS are selling it for .63 cents but when you add shipping its $6.62 per disk .I have a Netflix account and get dvd's every week and I'm sure Netflix is not paying 6 bucks to ship one dvd to me .I hate deceptive advertising .

Funny story... I was perplexed when this arrived as I thought I ordered a multi-pack! This is just one disc! (Note: I re-read the listing, and I must have been day dreaming - thinking it was more-than-one disc!)The disc allows you to store a lot of information, and I prefer using BluRay or M-Disc's over traditional CD-ROM or DVD's. The discs are of higher quality, and you don't need a spindle of them to backup your critical files.I would buy this product again and/or recommend it to a friend. The discs might have been fine, we don't know. REAL problems with the delivery company..City Link. Out when they tried to deliver the first day. In ALL DAY the next day,in lounge, right by front door, heard no knock or bell ring, BUT did hear the sorry you were out card being put through the letter box. Thought it was the postman as it was the right time, by the time I got to the door and found the card, person had gone. They charge for 3rd delivery, you can't speak to a human easily when you ring them. Gave up and chose the send it back option!! IF IT'S GOING TO BE DELIVERED BY CITY LINK, DON'T BUY IT !!!

My Blu-ray drive was a duffer - bought from Aria.co.uk. So I had to return this since the new Blu-ray drive was dead-on-arrival. But the seller was kind and gave a refund.
