Perfect good product
The scanner is very simple to use and can get things done quickly. just go and connect the OBD 2 and it will tell you the fault code within a minute. It helped me clear some error codes on the car, so I saved the cost of taking the car to a mechanic for analysis. and it supports all vehicles made after 1996. can test car speed, engine RPM, calculated load value, coolant temperature, fuel pressure, fuel system status, long term fuel trim, short term fuel trim, air fow rate and so on.

Easy enough to use, read codes, save money
With the way most cars are today, the days of being able to fix your car with a screwdriver and a pair of pliers are long past. To figure out what's wrong with your vehicle, you need some kind of diagnostic code reader. while a code reader won't actually tell you exactly what's wrong, it will at least point you in the right direction. The CARXtruck OBD2 Scanner Vehicle Code Reader Auto Diagnostic Check Engine Light for All OBDII Car Diagnostic Scan Tool Read and Clear Codes[where do they come up with the super long titles?] has a couple of good things going for it. It's inexpensive, compared to what scanners were when they first came out years ago. It doesn't need a battery to use or to be charged, as it will pull the power to run the codes directly from your vehicle. You can leave it hooked up to run diagnostic tests as you drive for more troublesome codes. If you have multiple codes in your detection, you can single out one module area at a time to get that particular code. Now, as handy as this code reader is, it's not omnipotent and doesn't know everything. While it does have a lot of code definitions stored in the module, you may have to look some codes up online. [Google is your friend in these cases] Keep in mind in some of the newer computer-controlled vehicles, that you may not be able to do more than read a code to give you a general error description. In my case, I kept getting tire pressure errors, and could not get a code on it. I checked online, and it turned out for my particular vehicle there's a recall for that, so it'll be going back to the dealership. For the inexpensive cost of this code reader, [$21.99 as of the writing of this review] I don't think you can go wrong for a diagnostic tool.

for reading and erasing diagnostic codes this device works well
The media could not be loaded. Do not let the truck implementation in the title confuse you. This works just fine on any car that complies with the OBD2 type of ports. I have an older Toyota Camry that i tried this on. This is the car i am depicting in the video i have included. With a device like this it is easier to show a video that write an in depth review because each car is different. By showing that the device turns on after being attached to the under port shows that it is ready to receive or show error codes. The device is powered by you r cars battery so there are no batteries required for the diagnostic tool. There is a short process that sends the vehicles info to the reader. This consists of simply turning the ignition forward so that your radio or heater starts then waiting 10 seconds then turn it off for ten seconds. You repeat this until it generates a diagnostic report. I have show in the video the main screen with the top left corner being the main menu you use. This menu is the one that will automatically read a check engine light and either turn it off or give you a breakdown of the error codes.I also tried this on a vehicle from 1999 and it also worked.I am happy with this device by the Xtruck brand and recommend it to any one who want s to do a read themselves rather than either paying for one or going to an auto retail shop to have it done.Update: in the video the display says failure to connect-this is just because it was already connected and i redid a step that did not need done for the video purpose. In conclusion it linked up just fine.

Works Pretty Good
I have an old 1996 vehicle and after I located the OBD port I was able to use this scanner. I didn't have it completely connected the first time thought the scanner turned on. After several attempts to read any codes and the scanner telling me it wasn't able to connect I rechecked the connection. After that it worked fine and said my car didn't have anything going wrong with it - no codes were detected. It's easy to use but the language only gives me a choice between French and Italian.....I guess I need to keep dinking with it though I read the manual.
