Cost is a little high for a little piece of plastic.

This gas filter is for my Husqvarna lawn mower (Kohler engine).The biggest problem was finding the part online.Had a terrible time looking for "fuel filter," "gas line filter," "in-line," etc.Whoever thought up the name "in nipple filter" had to have stayed up nights figuring out how to make it the most obscure.

First the KOHLER manual does not mention a fuel filter. It a inline filter in gas line from tank. It’s very small and was seated at the top of the hose with a larger diameter cap. Received the new one exact size but the hose must have stretched out because filter dropped down a inch in hose,which caused the engine to starve for fuel. Removed the filter with much difficulty and is was crimped up. I went to auto parts store a bought a small gravity inline filter and clamps and installed in fuel line.

Worked great. Fixed long standing problem of difficulty starting. Owners manual does not mention a fuel filter. Found out from online repair manual. Installed in fuel line, at fuel tank, with tail inserted into fuel tank. No problems starting with one or two pulls in nearly a month. Also cleaned carburetor bowl beforehand. Had done this in the past and fix never lasted. I always use regular gasoline with marine stable.
