Probably the best low carb cereal I've tried
This is probably one of the better low carb/keto cereals I have tried. I also purchased the chocolate but haven't tried it yet.Pros: Pretty decent taste, no starches (tapioca, cassava) or even tapioca fiber. Ok texture. No artificial sweeteners or flavors. Not high in fat. Ingredients I am comfortable with.Cons: There is a very slight aftertaste, but I didn't find it overwhelming. And it's to be expected in low carb products using natural sweeteners. Still better flavor than some other brands I've tried. Serving size is small. A 1/2 cup is a serving. Do keep in mind that keto cereals tend to be more filling than regular carb-filled cereal. But if you're wanting a nice size bowl of cereal, you'll go through your box fast. Finally, it's expensive. Yes, I know it's to be expected when buying low carb products that don't contain artificial stuff. But at $11 for a small-ish box, it's more like an occasional treat than an every day breakfast.Overall, if you're on a low carb diet and you're missing cereal, a small bowl of this may hit the spot for you. I added 1/3 cup Fairlife skim milk (less carbs than regular milk) and it was just right for this amount. I recommend!

Delicious but expensive—treat yo self!
This stuff is amazing. I used to eat cereal for breakfast every day before I started keto three years ago. I miss it!! This cereal gives you that crunch and texture. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive!!! My favorite flavor is the chocolate, this is second, then the cinnamon. The fruity one is like eating straight up candy. Blech.I tried making keto rice krispie treats with this, but the cereal turned soft. They tasted good, but did not have the right texture at all. That was a swing and a miss, but that’s ok. Stick to pouring unsweetened nut milk over them and you won’t be disappointed! The serving size is pretty small, but the crazy low net carbs mean you can go for 2 servings lol.Wish this was available for subscribe and save to help shave a little off the price!

Tries really hard to be similiar to Rice Krispies, but misses the mark in texture.
I love that more companies are trying to get into low carb foods with better and cleaner ingredients! First off, this cereal uses three sweeteners, erythritol, allulose, and monkfruit. All three are considered "natural" and healthier than sucralose or malitol. However, erythritol produces a cooling effect in your mouth when used and can contribute to a loss in texture in the product, which is what I feel makes this cereal not very crunchy or "poppy." Erythritol is also the primary sweetener in this cereal as it's number two on the ingredients list and some people can also be sensitive to it and may receive gastric distress when consuming too much of it. Allulose behaves just like sugar with no negative side effects and is becoming more popular lately, but it is expensive to use, which is reflected in the cost of the cereal. Monkfruit is bitter when used in large quantities but is very sweet, which is why it's last on the ingredients list, but used to add an extra touch of sweetness to the cereal!Overall, the cereal is very sweet like frosted flakes, but the texture is somewhat chewy, and I didn't appreciate that.At the price of $12 per box and for the amount received, there is no way I could buy this cereal again, unless they add an extra box or two for the same price.

Pretty Solid Cereal, But Too Expensive To Be Practical!
I will at least start out by saying – I was given a promotional rebate by a third party in order to try this item. So in other words, the risk associated with me trying this cereal was basically zero. The verdict? It’s good. As good as you can really hope for any low carb, keto cereal to be. When you open the bag, it smells a lot like Rice Krispie Treats – marshmallow and all. When you taste it, however, it tastes more like a butter cookie or shortbread to me. I found that to be kind of interesting. It is on the sweeter side, but if you’re keto you’re likely using unsweetened dairy milk alternatives so I wouldn’t say that’s an issue unless you’re really sensitive to sweets (in which case what are you doing buying a frosted cereal?)It doesn’t soften up much in milk, and it retains that crunch you’re looking for throughout. Is it gummy like a lot of these protein cereals can be? A little bit. But it’s not so bad that it’ll stick to your teeth. This is just a byproduct of being made with whey protein, and it’s to be expected.Would I order it again? I don’t know. There are other flavors, and I would definitely like to try them. But right now I’m just hoping High Key realizes that nearly $12 is too much for someone to experiment with when it comes to 1 small box of cereal. A multipack discount (for a 3-pack, for instance) would be nice. As it stands right now, one serving is approximately $1.70 and the servings are predictably tiny. If you’re expecting to get 7 or 8 full-sized bowls out of one of these boxes, you will be very disappointed to learn that the 28g serving barely covers the very bottom of a standard sized bowl.TL;DR – The cereal is sweet, crunchy, and good-tasting. But I’m not entirely sure that the box size and the serving size is worth the price of admission. I am, however, glad I tried it... and if you’re missing cereal – you may want to give it a try. For now, I’ll stick with Magic Spoon!
