Nice grips - quality install kit - small learning curve
First time replacing grips on a 15 year old department store brand. They hit well for me so no need to replace clubs for a once a week golfer. My current grips were original and would experience intermittent issues and realized that my grips were causing slip and sporadic performance. I didnโt want to break the bank but do like to play well and prefer the performance issues to be no fault of the equipment so I know where to assign blame - me. I also bought a new putter grip which is in the photo which is really nice and I had extra grip tape and supplies from the kit to install. I watched a few videos and web sites to ensure I had a good method. A couple of things I learned from my research and can corroborate are: (1) start with your least used clubs as you will get better as you go. My first club install was fine but I stretched the grip about 1 CM which is no big deal but glad I did it on my 6 iron (2) Heat guns and acetone make removing the old grip tape easier. If you have old department store clubs, chances are the tape is super thin and canโt be pulled off. The grips come off easy with the supplied knife but most of my time was spent getting rid of the old tape. Next time it will be easier as the tape will come off like the videos (LOL). (3) Grip alignment is important, when you vice down (with included club clamp) make sure your club is facing straight up so you can place the grip alignment arrow in the correct location. (4) Donโt skimp on the included solvent; some people recommend catching the old solvent and reusing it in the bottle. I think thatโs a suboptimal method. Mineral Spirits are cheap at your hardware store. Buy some extra just in case. I added a good amount to the inside of the grip first with my thumb under the small grip hole and anther thumb over the other hole and shook it throughout the grip and then I kept a finger over the large hole and used the suction by slowly releasing the solvent over the grip tape and take one hand (with a glove on) to ensure the entire grip tape is wet and slippery. Taking caution to not touch the grip with the wet hand I would align the grip and slide it on placing my hand about 3 1/2 inches from the leading end of the grip. I then would pull the club from the vice and gently push on the butt of the club to ensure it was seated. I havenโt played with them yet and will update after a round but they feel nice and like the midsize feel. 8/2023 range update: I took the clubs to the range and the grips felt great and to be honest, I didnโt slice any of my shots and hit my driver better than I have in the past and saw something interesting, Iโm pulling or hooking my shots as my club face is more closed on my finishing swing. It might have been from compensation for my club face opening from the club slipping in my hands in the past so I have some work to do but glad the slice is gone. Iโll report back after a round of golf.

Quality Grips at a Great Price? These are them! Awesome Grips A+
Ignore any bad review of this product. Anyone that is complaining about the 'weight' of these grips or the 'seams' should not be buying these at all. They should be buying the Golf Pride, Winn, ect. name brands at $9, $12 and $18 per grip. If you want to save money and have a solid grip. These are Winners!! A++ I'm currently a 9 Handicap. Play Titleist driver/3W, Mavrik Hybrid, Calloway Irons, got a Scotty putter and jump between ProV1, Taylormades and Vice golf balls. My opinion, playing a different ball or grip or glove will not lower your HC. These are very high quality for the price, felt great in my hand with and without a glove and install was very easy. Complete instructions included and on the packaging. The only real way to install these properly is with a vice for stability. Otherwise it would be difficult to slide the grips onto the clubs. I can't speak to my color running (when they got wet), but I spilled the solution on them and cleaned one of them with water to test and didn't have an issue. Comes with enough grips and tape that if you don't add enough solution or need to cut one off you have extra. I would agree they are a comparable to Golf Pride's MCC 4 (that I swopped out for these, due to wear n tear) for cost and functionality being around $3 per grip if you subtract the estimated cost for Tape , Solvent , Rubber Vise Clamp and Grip Hook Knife.

Good for beginners
Really good for beginners, they definitely have a good amount of grip to them. The instructions were very straight forward and definitely new installer friendly. Almost everything you would need, is there. The one down side I found, that would definitely benefit a first timeโdo-it yourselfโ kind of person, would be a some instruction on proper alignment. I had to do extra research just to make sure i was installing them properly, before trying to install them. Overall a good product for beginner golfers. For more experienced golfers, I recommend a different product.

price and quality of grips and tape was perfect.
My Champkey Victor Golf grips and repair kit was exactly what i wanted. Nice price for grips. Nice quality grips and other parts. I am experienced golfer. play casual golf every year. i redid 12 clubs this time. I have regripped hundreds of golf clubs at home over 3 decades. I was familiar with process. I had prepared my gof clubs before I ordered. I had cut off old grips with a utility knife and removed old tape by lightly scrapping plus using finger nail polish/acetone to get rid of glue residue. fyi -Tool they provided looked perfect for job, My graphite and steel shafted grips were ready to go. go lightly on graphite. careful not to shred graphite and create dangerous splinters. Golf tape strips were good quality, plenty sticky, but i had to think for minute what side to use on shaft. see answer below. That said, Any golf club grip replacement video online will make sense as to how to use this kit. I like the small rubber club shaft grip that goes around shaft to grab club shaft to place in vice, I have Black and Decker workmate bench where rubber grip with shaft fit in middle of wood top. I gently closed wood tops as vice grips to secure clubs. The new golf grip tape has one side covered with see-through plastic. other side has a full white backing which is really two pieces. fold white side back on top and bottom to expose seam down the middle of what is really two white halves covering tape. peel off half white backing then stick exposed tape with glue to part of shape allowing quarter inch tape to hang over shaft end. then gently rub clear plastic side to get tape to stick to shaft with no wrinkles. remove other halve white backing then finish rubbing tape on shaft. push overlapping tape on end into shaft. follow video on how to put grip on shaft with new tape. it requires knowing how to use solution, aligning grip properly and getting grip to slide over sticky tape.. for novice, watch a grip replacement video.

Golfpride MCC Plus grip at half the price!
Let me start by saying I have never regripped clubs before. My original grips were in rough shape. My irons are close to 10 years old and I couldn't justify buying new ones with how little I get to play these days so I decided to regrip them myself. After shopping around I purchased these based off reviews on both amazon and youtube. These grips did not disappoint! From what I can tell they are an exact replica of the GolfPride MCC Plus grip. It wouldn't surprise me if they are made in the same factory. They have a very nice half cord with lots of grip at the top and a nice soft low tack at the bottom. I watched a handful of youtube videos to learn the gripping process. From removing the old grips to applying the new ones it took me about 2 hours for 13 clubs. Given this was a kit I was a little hesitant about what the quality of the other materials would be. The grip tape is great, precut, already sized for the grips, super convenient. The solution was plenty, just collect the runoff and funnel back into the bottle after every 4 clubs. When I finished I still had 2/3 bottle of grip solution left. The blade did not impress me but I think that is personal preference, I didn't care for the hook. I used a utility knife with a stanley heavy duty blade and my old grips came off in a flash. Tips for regripping: 1. When applying tape work from the top down when smoothing. This forces any tape wrinkles to the bottom where your hand wont be, you only grip the top 3/4 of the grip. 2. You don't need to be a perfectionist. I had a couple clubs with long wrinkles in the tape. When complete you can't feel them. This is kind of "princess and the pea" situation. 3. Leave 1/2" + tape overhang at the top of the shaft. This lets you seal the shaft so no debris gets and results in a rattle. Again, your hands only cover the top 3/4 of the grip so better to have to to much tape at the top than worry about covering where you don't grip. 4. Glue begins to set FAST. Slide the grip all the way on and then align. Don't mess with it as you are sliding it down the shaft because it only takes 10 or 15 seconds for the grip to start binding up. 5. When done flip the club upside down and tap on the ground to ensure the shaft is firmly seated at the but of the grip. 6. Let dry upside down so solvent in the shaft and grip drain out. 7. Start with the clubs you hit least often. If this is your first time your first grip or two wont be perfect. I did my 4i and 7w. While there were some wrinkles and learning curve getting my process down the gripping is totally adequate for a club I only hit or throw once in a while. 8. Give clubs adequate dry time! Some videos say 1hr is sufficient. That is BS. Allow to dry overnight.

Donโt skimp on the solvent. They will slide right on.
This is the first time that I have changed grips myself. The oversized grips feel fantastic and I canโt wait to get them on the course. The packaging comes with everything you need except for the vice. I used a wood clamp which worked perfectly. The job was very simple and saved a lot of money by doing it myself

Good bye Winn Grips
After using Winn grips for over 20 years, tried Champkey for the first time..While Winn grips have a softer feel, the dollar value of Champkey cannot be denied. The 13 pack comes with grips, tape, solvent and a razor blade cutter....GREAT DEAL.... a note of caution, I have never lost a Winn grip when re-gripping woods, irons but I lost two Champkey grips while re-gripping. The included tape/solvent is intolerant to when re-gripping.(Simple fix- put solvent inside the grip plugging both holes and shake to completely cover inside surface) ensure you then use solvent on tape completely covering and quickly install grip. This tape and solvent adheres very quick..... will test grips today on the course.......

Great value kit
After the first one ( which I messed up ) the rest were easy. Use a lot of solvent, and put the solvent inside the grips too. Then they slid on easy enough. The feel of them is great, and I'm looking forward to hitting the course. Will buy again

Definitely worth a try!
Iโve used Winn grip and gold pride for more than 15 years. For the price, these grips are great! Give them a try and you wonโt be disappointed. My only grief would be that I do prefer a sticky grip (Winn dry tac for example) and these are not overly grippy.

Not bad at all
Good quality; I've been using it weekly for several months, and it still looks great. Good value for the money.
