I purchased the "BRIGHT WHITE INK 0.4MM", and I absolutely love them! Here are some things they are super effective doing: • Over markers ---- They are really visible, and so smooth • Highlights --- They give your drawing a super nice touch and pop • Whiting out mistakes --- You can also use them to white out mistakes such as markers or pencil. • Hand art --- Pretty looking on hands. THINGS THEY DON'T DO WELL WITH: • Pastels --- They don't show and cause the drawing to have streaks. They also remove the pastel onto the highlighter pen and ruin the tips • Over white paper--- Doesn't show (obviously) but it still dent show after you put color over it. SO I would recommend not using it before but using it after when drawing over things. (*You sometimes do have to go over a few times when using over marker) These are super smooth and are so nice 😍 and have really high quality definitely recommend them!

I've only just started to use this product, so I don't have any comments as to how long it lasts, and I don't have any products to compare it to. I like to use these for sparkling highlights or detailing in character artwork. Works beautifully over top of the Micron lining markers I use, and also work pretty well over just inks in general. However, it's really not meant for use with colored pencil. You can sorta dabble it on the paper to make it trail white over top of colored pencil, but it's also not as vibrant. Totally not the fault of the pens, it's just a matter of less compatible art media. Definitely worth a try, and definitely a detailing essential for any artist working in markers!

Opaque white ink leaves a good line on tinted or dark paper. I've used these for designs on black paper and been very pleased with the results. It is possible to wait a short while and go over the first line and build up more ink on the drawing. These also work out well for adding highlights when used on grey or tan paper. Well, really they are great for any non-white background. They can even be used to cover mistakes made on white paper. Update 10/2/2016: I just discovered another use for these pens. I have lots of generic, black nylon cases with who-knows-what in them. The Sakura Gelly Rolls will write on the nylon. When it's dry, it doesn't rub off. I had to go over the writing a few time to get it to show well. I just let it dry some, then wrote over it again. Each time the writing showed up better than the time before.

I loved these pens! No smearing, the color pops with amazing ink flow. The color really pops, they are easy to use! The caps are snug, and are not just adorable but they keep the pens fresh! The quality and functionality of these pens makes the purchase worth it!

I got this because it was highly recommended on several art blogs that I follow for writing on dark colors. I tried this out on different papers including black and navy card stock and brown grocery paper bags. This worked well to produce a smooth, mostly-opaque mark on all of the papers I tried it on except for a very rough construction paper. After using this a few times, I've noticed that there is a definite technique for getting the best results. It takes a bit slower writing speed and medium pressure (a bit less than my usual heavy-handed scribbling) to get the most even, opaque coverage. If it isn't working well for you try changing your pressure and speed. I also used this over colored markers to add highlights. A very small tint of the color showed through this, but this is certainly the best of any of the white roller-ball pens that I have tried. The only thing that I found to produce a more opaque mark would be a correcting-fluid (like White Out) or an opaque white paint (Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White is a favorite, a few brands of paint markers work well too).

Update: These may be the darlings of the trendy adult coloring set, but I have so much trouble with this brand. I only use a tiniest bit of the ink and they stop working. I don't drop or shake them. I always snap the caps back on. I store These in a pencil case with loops, so they're in a safe environment and not being bumped around. These are rather pricey and I'm tried of wasting money on them. I recently bought a few open stock metallic and white pens from Dick Blick (I was already ordering some other supplies). Hopefully obtaining them from an art supply dealer will improve the longevity of these pens (maybe the ones from here weren't properly stored or were old?). Time will tell, I suppose. If my relationship will Gelly Rolls doesn't improve with the new ones, I won't buy more (too little payoff for the expense). I can never get these to work over artist-grade colored pencils for highlights as the online elitist "colorists" claim any way. The wax and oils just clog the nibs. Heck, sometimes I can't even get this brand to color on places in the pages where a colored pencil hasn't even touched, colored pencil just had to be on the page some place and these pens flake out. Original review: Not as opaque as the Uni-ball Signo, but these definitely dry with a smoother texture than the Signo. However, I cannot get these to apply as highlights over my artist grade, soft core colored pencil, either. I know some of the elitist "colorists" use these for highlights, but I cannot get it to work. I guess I'm not cut out to be a member of the coloring elite. LOL

I love these pens! I've been a long time customer of Gelly Roll pens (90s kid) and these did not disappoint as an adult. I use them mainly for highlighting and detailing in adult coloring. They color on the black lines of the coloring pages very well. Sometimes you have to go over the line once or twice to really lay down the white color but they work very well on any dark color. As you can see in the picture I posted, I used dotting color in the fins of the mermaid and I also added dots to detail some areas on her arms and clothing too. The color laid down is very bright and prominent. Very little effort was given when creating these details. I simply dotted the page and color were laid down on the black for the fin. I did not have to draw a dot I simply tapped the paper. Ink comes out very smoothly and flows nicely. I would advise using this on any black coloring, highlighting, or detailing. It's great for writing on black or dark paper too. Shows up very well. I would definitely buy again but I have a feeling these are going to last me a long time!

The white gelly rolls are great. They are opaque, so are great for using on top of pencils and paints for adding highlights or extra details. I've had no issues with the ink flooding or stopping, but I do use a scrap price of paper to scribble on to get the ink flowing before I use it on my project, and again if the paint/pencil gets clogged on the ball. They are lovely and smooth to use. My favourite white pens for sure.

Great pens! Work well even for writing notes. Grip is hard plastic which can be annoying over long periods of writing but other than that no complaints.

ネットで話題となったフォントのような綺麗な文字を書く少女の動画で使用していたので気になって買ってみました。 とても書きやすく、動画では明朝体のように「はね」や「払い」もしっかり付けていて、ボールペンでここまで綺麗に筆のようにできるんだなぁ、と感心しましたが、実際にやってみると、かなり再現できました。（もちろん文字の上手さまでは再現できませんが） SAKURAブランドで、ボールペンにも"JAPAN"の記載があり日本製かと思いますが、日本では売っていない製品ですよね。 是非に本でも売って欲しいのと、白以外の入手性が非道く悪いので、充実させて欲しいところです。特に黒を。

Voici un set de 3 feutres blancs opaques compléments très utiles pour l'illustration. Très pratique et de bonne qualité d'encre. Le prix chez AMAZON m'a fait craquer sur ce choix que je recommande aux dessinateurs amateurs d'illustration. Sans hésiter.
