My cat likes it, it rolls all over the place, I love it.

Well-built!
Someone put a lot of thought into the durability and usability of this toy! It's nearly silent, which I thoroughly appreciate, and it's easy to operate.A couple of things I wish were different:1. The toy slaps the string attachment down HARD. Like, swat-the-dog-on-the-nose hard (I don't have a dog, and I wouldn't swat it if I did, but hopefully you get the gist). I would prefer a toy that my cats attack, not the other way around.2. The plastic wings are the exact hardness and thickness to cut an animal's nose if they're in the way when it slaps down. I stuck that attachment to a cardboard box instead.3. It's ALIVE! This thing turned itself on at 3 am and scared the crap out of me. I had put it in one of those tiny camping tents from Pet Smart, and, in my groggy haze, it rolling against the sides and smacking on the floor sounded exactly like a crackling fire. Scared me half to death. I realize auto-start is a feature, not a bug, but I would prefer if its hours of operation didn't include 3 am.4. I would also prefer if it rolled in a straight line for longer. It does a lot of flipping around, but my cats like to chase snakes, not butterflies. When it goes straight, they immediately start after it, but it stops and flips around almost immediately, which causes them to settle back down to watch it. Kind of defeats the whole reason I bought it.Now, some things I like about it:1. It's ALIVE! Startling as it is, my cats seem to enjoy the auto-start feature: it really juices up their prey drive. It also keeps the thing from getting hopelessly lost under furniture.2. It's nearly silent.3. It can climb (sort of) and get itself out of jams. I found it in a corner behind a scratching post that has a thick base; I thought it was stuck, but as I reached down to rescue it, it noped and popped itself up and out of the corner.4. It does a marvelous job of cleaning cobwebs from under kitchen cabinets (hence why I put it in the tent).I gave this toy four stars because it's incredibly well-built, well-thought-out, and nearly silent; these are the top three issues most electronic cat toys have, and this company tackled them all. To push it to five stars, I would have it travel in a straight line for a longer period and reduce the strength of the downward slap.

Great toy and seller!
I bought this cat toy five months ago, and my kitties absolutely love it. I originally thought they might get bored with it after a couple of months, but that hasn't been the case. One of my kitties chewed off a tire, and while I was able to reattach it, I reached out to the seller to ask if I could purchase a replacement. The seller went above and beyond to help. I highly recommend both the toy and the seller! On a side note, I only use the toy on its slowest setting because the other speeds feel a bit too aggressive. Also, I should mention that the toy doesn't get stuck underneath my couch, thanks to its slightly larger size.

Aggressive, obsessed with dark corners
Firstly: my cat loves the feather tails that come with this toy. She will find them hidden anywhere and carry them to her special self-designated play-time spot.Unfortunately, this fascination is dampened by the toy only sitting still long enough for her to sneak up and then get smacked in the face by the tail as it changes direction dramatically. After this first attack against her she began waiting farther back from it and would only sneak up when it inevitably wedged itself into a corner and could barely move. When that happened, she would pull it loose, run back to her spot with it, and then immediately have to jump out of the way as it ran over her feet. Now, she watches from afar and makes no effort to engage with it.Beyond that, my husband and I are both shocked by how good this thing is at getting stuck in weird ways. It's great at getting out of places you'd expect a toy to get stuck, but then spends an entire active period rolling back and forth between two legs of a chair. When we rescue this thing from under the couch, the edge of a bookshelf, or the legs of a chair, it seems to head blindly yet deliberately back to the place we just liberated it from. I know this isn't possible, but it seems like the thing WANTS to be stuck. It seems like it PREFERS to bump around for ten minutes under the back right corner of our couch. It feels like instead of a cat toy, we now have a strange new nocturnal pet that sometimes harasses the cat.I'll probably keep it though, since any time the cat's warily watching her new moody robot sibling is time she's NOT spending at her food bowl.3 stars because it's made well, it shipped fast, I like the idea of it taking a 'nap', and my cat loves the feather tails when they're separated from the toy. I took two stars away because that plastic tail rod is a menace and because the programmed movement needs some work.
