Super versatile and works really well
This combo is honestly a must-have if you’ve got a baby. The healing ointment is super versatile—you can use it for dry skin, minor irritation, and even to help prevent diaper rash. It creates a nice protective barrier and keeps skin from getting worse. The diaper rash cream works great too and is easy to apply without being overly thick. Both products are fragrance-free and gentle, which is a big plus for sensitive skin. Only thing to note is the ointment is a bit greasy, but that’s expected and kind of the point since it helps lock in moisture. Overall, really solid set and definitely worth having on hand.

A staple for diaper rash, dry skin, and chapped lips
This is truly a holy-grail product in our house for a long list of skin issues. If you are like me and have tried several times to switch to beeswax-based or more “natural” products for your children, only to end up with a nasty rash, this may be worth trying. Sometimes not everything has to be ultra-pure, hand-foraged, and blessed by the mushroom fairies. Sometimes you just need to use what actually works for your child’s comfort. To be clear, if natural products work well for your family, that is great. But after trying many creams, salves, and balms, this is the one product I have used that not only clears diaper rash incredibly fast, but also helps prevent it altogether when used consistently. What makes this better than plain petroleum products, in my opinion, is that it is not just petrolatum. Aquaphor also includes ingredients like panthenol, glycerin, and bisabolol. Panthenol helps support skin barrier repair and retain moisture, glycerin is a humectant that draws in moisture, and bisabolol is known for its soothing properties. That combination makes it feel more effective and more skin-supportive than a basic petroleum ointment. I also use it for dry, scaly patches that show up in baby rolls, and they are often dramatically improved by the next day. At one point I tried to save money by switching to a generic petroleum-based product, and I realized very quickly that it was not the same. This formula really is in a different league. After seeing how well it worked on chapped cheeks, I started using a small amount at night as the final step in my own skincare routine to lock everything in, and it has genuinely helped my tired 37-year-old skin. Yes, it is greasy, but that is the point. It is meant to be highly occlusive, which is exactly what you want when trying to seal moisture in and protect irritated skin from further dryness and exposure. Another bonus, it makes an excellent lip balm. It helps heal chapped lips quickly and keeps them looking hydrated. Overall, this is one of the most versatile products I keep on hand for both babies and adults. Diaper rash, dry patches, chapped cheeks, lips, and even slugging for grown-up skin, it does it all. I would not want to be without it.

The Ultimate "Fix-It" Tube – A Medicine Cabinet Essential (Even for Adults)
Don't let the word "Baby" on the packaging fool you. While Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment (7 Oz Tube) is practically a requirement for parents, I have found it to be one of the most versatile skincare products you can own, regardless of your age. The Good: The Tube vs. The Tub: I specifically recommend this 7oz tube over the large tubs you dip your fingers into. It is far more hygienic, especially if you are using it for minor scrapes or diaper changes, as it prevents bacteria from getting into the product. Magic on "Winter Skin": If you suffer from cracked knuckles, chapped lips, or dry patches around your nose during the cold months, this stuff is superior to standard lotions. Because it contains 41% Petrolatum combined with Panthenol (Vitamin B5), it creates a seal that actually heals the skin overnight rather than just moisturizing it for an hour. Drool & Diaper Rash: For its intended purpose, it is unmatched. It creates a protective barrier that moisture literally slides off of. It’s particularly great for "drool rash" on a baby’s chin because it’s safe if they accidentally ingest a tiny bit. The "Need to Know": It is Greasy: This is an ointment, not a cream. It does not absorb quickly like a lotion. It sits on top of the skin. If you use it on your hands, you won't be able to touch your phone or doorknobs for a while without leaving smudges. Baby vs. Regular: The secret is out—the "Baby" formula is almost identical to the "Adult" Aquaphor. The baby version is sometimes slightly milder (no fragrance, no preservatives), but generally, they are interchangeable. If one is on sale, feel free to buy it even if you don't have a baby (or vice versa). Verdict: Whether you are preventing diaper rash, healing a new tattoo, or fighting dry winter elbows, this tube is a powerhouse. It is the definition of a "must-have" product that you will find yourself reaching for constantly.

Excellent for baby's skin. I plan to purchase again. Keeps baby skin soft and well moisturized. Definitely prevents diaper irritations and rashes.

Must-have for baby
I’ve used this since my baby was a newborn. Great for diaper rash, dry skin, and irritation. I use it at every diaper change as a preventative. A bit greasy, but works really well.

Must-have for a family of surfers! 🏄🏼♂️
This tub of Aquaphor has been a lifesaver for us! We are a large family and live in a hot, sunny climate. We use this on our lips daily to keep them moisturized. If they get dried out and chapped it helps to heal them but is also a great daily moisturizer. My kids are surfers and they put this on if they get a rash and it helps it heal. We also put this on peeling on their face after a mild sunburn. It is odorless, not too greasy, and a good size tub that lasts. You’ll never catch me without a tub of Aquaphor in my house!

Works well with our baby from newborn. Our first defence for diaper rash, and any redness on her skin especially around the neck.
