5G capable
I have nothing but Amcrest wireless cameras. I decided to spend more to get this PTZ one only because it was the only 5G capable they offer. I was always having dropouts with my other 2.4G cameras. Mostly due to bandwidth issues and congestion. But I replaced of my 6 with these 5G PTZ ones and it is amazing how they function. No dropouts, smooth Live view, not jittery and quality appears to be even better that there other 4MP or 5MP Wi-Fi cameras. I realize these cost 3X the other Wifi units, but well worth it just so yo can move over to 5G

Outstanding value, based on experience with 2 cameras
After trying various Wi-Fi cameras, I decided to go for quality and bought this IP2M-866W camera. The installation was simple and it works very well as an owl nest camera. In fact I was so satisfied, that I bought a second identical unit for my front gate. I had some router issues, not the fault of the camera, then I contacted customer's support. The waiting time was reasonable, and the technician, Wesley, was knowledgeable, very supportive and patient. Using his guidance I downloaded a couple of free apps from the Amcrest site that proved to be extremely useful. To summarize, I highly recommend Amcrest cameras and their technical support.

Not Ready for Prime Time
This security camera looked promising, but it's just not ready for anyone who wants a true plug and play experience. It will not work with the Chrome browser. The software is very clunky. Thankfully I was able to take it to my local Kohls store for a quick and easy return experience. Bye Bye!

True PTZ and beautiful image for the price!
This is model is very low profile, has a lot of features in such a small package. Local record via MicroSD makes it an independent DVR. External antenna allows for connection of an extender antenna. Ceiling or wall mount, settings for image flip in software. True Day/Night ICR function, True 3x mechanical zoom with auto focus, plus Digital zoom for a total of about 10x zoom, 90' Auto Flip. PTZ presets, scheduled presets, idle presets. Statistics tracker in software for uptime/mechanical runtime. Fully adjustable video and audio codec settings, Main stream plus TWO sub streams. IR LEDs can be turned on/off separate from Day/Night feature. 12v DC or POE. Built in Microphone, Audio IN/OUT capabilities for two-way talk. Fully functional via Web or APP.The ONLY issue with this camera is the 20' limit on the tilt. Be sure this camera is mounted really high over what you are surveilling. You won't be able Zoom in on the horizon basically. The camera is set to 20' limit due to seeing the brim of the dome if you tilted any higher, but sometimes you may need to zoom in on something that is between 10' & 0'. Maybe Amcrest can correct that in their Software and send out an update.Overall, this camera is great for indoors/outdoors, business or home. Well worth the money for a Business owner; perfect for watching over the front counter, the cash registers, the isles, a break room. For the home, perfect for watching over the back deck, pool, front yard.

Not quite perfect - but then who is. Buy at your own peril
I purchased this camera to replace my 1-1/2 year old Amcrest IP3M camera (Foscam - where are you, I miss you).Anyways, if you are familiar with Foscam, well their software was easy & intuitive & their cameras worked. Amcrest who took over Foscam has been trying to get a better foot hold. But the cameras they produce, while better resolution - THEY SUCK ON MOTION detection. And the software - you'll have to be a computer programmer / IT professional to utilize. Software is NOT intuitive. The camera build for this camera is VERY GOOD. Solid & sturdy. The PTZ works great. I use a P.O.E. (power over internet) to hard wire the camera - never liked the limited quality of a wi-fi connection to camera which this camera has.The programming, well, took over 3 days to get it someone to work & save to my FTP. Amcrest offers iCloud style back-up, if you want. After setting up the camera, I could get images from motion detected by camera; but it was ALWAYS AFTER the incident. At night, the lights of a car would set off the camera earlier, so by the time the car passes it would get MOST of the time 1 images. YET AGAIN - the motion detection of these cameras is always after the occurrence. So, inside the settings of the camera, I had to set up the "photo" only to "general" so that it would take images every 1-5 seconds & pray that within that time period it would actually catch something. Day time images are great / night time is alright. The small build of the camera is really great in photo generation.I set the video record on "Motion" so as not to blow up my FTP hard drives. In short, I get a LOT of photos & videos of motion only. The camera has a focusing feature. However, running the firmware that it came with (Only one out) the camera looses focus around 9-10 a.m. Everyday I have to check the focus & reset it. Most annoying.A few other things:- I have two (2) of these cameras - but the re-focusing is really bothersome.- The photo quality (day = great / night - luke warm)- IR works great at night - lights up 4 - 15 feet really well / beyond 20 its not that great- Software / log-in to camera works on PC's using I.E. or Chrome / DOES NOT work on Mac OS - don't try you'll waste your time- Software very difficult to follow - way toooooo many settings. And most of the things you can tweak don't really accomplish much. Has a "delay" in the settings - why would I want a delay in taking a motion detection photo/video - REALLY?- Motion detection: SUCKS!!!!! Takes photo 'AFTER" the motion so you miss it 85-95% of the time.- Image quality: good to great (daytime) / fair to good (nighttime). It helps if you have an outside source lighting up the area your camera sees- Angle of View: GREAT. Uniform with very little fish-eye noticed- Focus feature: has issues refocusing from night time to day time when the camera switches from black & white to color. Must be a firmware glitch.Would I buy it again - perhaps not. I already took one down and put up an old Foscam bullet security camera (FI9805E/W) - O.M.G. - this camera catches everything when it happens has great color and night vision - 10 years old and it just works. Easy setup & saves to FTP (photos & videos). Take a hint Amcrest.

Easy To Mechanically Install, Interfaces with Blue Iris
I own 15+ cameras from various manufacturers. Amcrest by far is the most reliable. Installing this camera physically was easy. Interfacing it with your home router, etc. does require some knowledge of networks if you want to interface the camera with software apps other than Amcrest. The camera does interface with Blue Iris. To accomplish this, you must assign a static IP address to the camera using the Amcrest supplied Camera Configuration Tool. Once a static IP address has been defined for the camera, Blue Iris can be configured. The WIFI interface is much more resilient to locking up the camera; so much so, that I now trust the WIFI interface on an equal footing to hooking up the camera with an ethernet cable. The real test for this camera remains: will it die in 3 years, like some of my other IP cameras? Only time will tell.
