I used the book to share with students that their dreams can be achievable if they write them down and bury them in a can or in their hearts and then work to accomplish them.I like the book and so did the students and would highly recommend it for all to read.

This is a beautiful story about the Spirit inside of this little girl and how it grew to be shared with the world. The story does not focus on war and drought but instead on how determination, on great support and love from her family and teachers could lead to realizing wonderful dreams. The great lesson to us all is that when we believe in our selves and when our dreams include serving and giving back to others, we can be and do whatever we can imagine.The book is perfectly illustrated to show each step in Tererai's journey.

I am so happy Dr. Trent wrote her story for children. He story can put hope in the heart of every child. I always make sure the child I am sharing the book with understands this book as a real life story and Tererai Trent is a real person. This book is very well written for a child to understand and learn from. The book opens dreams and hope for children.

This book is a must read for every child and adult. It encourages children to look for and to follow their dreams. It is the true story of the author's life and experience so beautifully written and so inspirational that we would do well to have it part of the curriculum in all school's in this country. I bought this book after hearing Tererai Trent speak at a conference near my hometown. That wonderful woman is so inspiring and has quite the story to tell. This book is her story and it should be read by every young child because every child should know that, without a doubt, their dreams are achievable.

I would highly recommend this book not only for children but it is a must read for adults also. The illustrations are wonderful. Everyone should know that dreams are achievable and come true. Dr. Trent is inspiring and has personally made an impact in my life.
