The PERFECT Cup. Comfortable, No Leaks, Best Available! Periods Are No Biggie Now!
First Purchase - Large Cup - Black:I'm very impressed with this cup. I ordered the Black Size Large because I LOVE that it offers the dark color since eventual staining is inevitable and you always want one that you can travel with and not be hugely embarrassed if your friends or significant other saw it (and saw gross stains that stay on lighter colored version no matter how clean they are). I had previously purchased the "The Green Cup" of Maine and it was fabulous and a locally-based, eco-friendly cup that I felt was perfect for *me* because it held up to 2 ounces and normally my periods are very severe, long, and heavy (PPMD & PCOS). But although I liked that cup....it would eventually slide down after 9 hours or so, move, occasionally slip into an uncomfortable position, and leak a bit.Right now I'm using cups non-stop because I switched from "no periods ever" birth control to mini-pills that will eventually give me my severe, heavy periods back. And basically I have either spotting or "kind of/almost" periods randomly. So I have to wear a cup everyday since I never know when I'm going to spot, have a short period, or sudden heavy flow. And after wearing this cup day in and day out for a full month....it's perfect. It's about medium flexibility and smoothness vs other brands. Not too hard and not too soft, but has the velvety texture most women prefer. It NEVER leaks. NEVER. And the design of this cup is vastly superior in fit to the "Green Cup" that is great....but is about $45.00 and has flaws that this cheaper, better cup doesn't have. Once this thing is inserted....it's practically like glue. The suction/fit is excellent. It doesn't slide or move. And the grip tip is just long enough to grab....but not long enough to feel it or cause discomfort. I've never experienced needing to "trim the tips" like some women here have as I have a high cervix....but even when I put this in too fast or wrong...it's designed to slide itself into position somehow and I have NEVER felt the tip or any discomfort. I don't feel the cup at all. With others, I sometimes cannot even pee without taking it out because *I think* the larger diameter of the other cup would press against my bladder if it wasn't positioned just right. I don't have that with this cup. Occasionally, I'd even have the other cup slide down when I was "pushing" to pee and I don't have that problem with this one, either. I forget I have it in since I wear it daily and if I'm just spotting or bleeding a little....I check it every 12 hours mostly just for a rinse, though I wouldn't need to check or reposition it.I've had no leaks despite wearing a pantyliner in case it's finally time for my heavy periods to return, but I've yet to need them. This stays right in place, is so comfortable and natural feeling that I'm shocked....and when I have ovulation cramps or premenstrual cramps, I find them greatly reduced wearing this. And that's a real bonus for someone with severe periods and PPMD. I would recommend this cup to anyone of any size, flow, age, or issue. The cost is actually cheap considering how great and universal this cup is. And I recommend at least one Black cup so you never have to worry about staining. I plan to purchase a smaller size to see how it fits and for "spotting" days and then proceed to stock up on all different colors and see no reason why I'd even bother to try a different brand. This cup is literally perfect. There are No CONS after a month of daily use. I recommend this to everyone thinking about trying a cup or adding to their existing collection.***UPDATE FEBRUARY 2017******Second Purchase: Blue/Turquoise Cup - Small:I purchased a second cup from Blossom and am thrilled with my purchase yet again. This time I purchased a "small" in the Turquoise color despite being 36 and having had a child. I never bothered trying the smalls since all of the cup companies assume that you have a gigantic vagina *I guess* if you're older or have kids....but apparently that's just a "suggestion" because this cup also stays perfectly in place, doesn't slip out, and is perfect for my light days (since I'm still wearing a cup everyday). I've also switched to an IUD (since my original post and knew there would be 3 months of spotting, irregular periods, "fake" periods, and other nonsense....so I figured this is the time to try the other size. It's perfect for my body which pushed out a child nearly 13 years ago and I'm 36 years old. I really recommend that if you're unsure or new to cups that you buy one of each size and just try them both. And since I *do* wear them daily, I figured that I should wear a Larger one unless it's needed JUST because manufacturers assume I cannot wear the smaller size. At this price point and quality, buying 2 is still cheaper than buying 1 of the "other" higher end brands. And for other IUD users....YES, the Doctor confirmed that it's totally safe and OK to use menstrual cups daily OR just during periods with an IUD. While that's just MY Doctor....I know it's a worry that a lot of women with IUD's have and is sometimes debated. It's caused me no problems thus far even with a very "new" IUD in the early stages. But of course, check with your own Doctors, if you have that option!I added a couple of photos of the Black Large next to my new Turquoise Small and you can't tell much difference by looking, but the diameter as well as length is smaller.Insertion/Usage Tips: The way I have the cup folded in the pictures is exactly how I insert it. Don't bother spending hours online reading methods about crouching and double-folds and all that. It'll just stress you out and confuse you. Fold the cup using 1 finger to fold and the other to "hold" the fold. Insert it exactly as pictured. Then stay RELAXED (your muscles) and give just 1 gentle tug back downward and then right back upward again. This gets the "suction" action moving. Using those same 2 fingers, place them around the *outside* diameter of the cup (the bottom area is likely as much as you can reach if it's up high in place) and gently "spin" the cup around slowly. After a few spins, the cup will unfold and "puff" open. This means it's in place and suctioned properly. If you're worried, give it one more gentle downward & upward tug and push to make sure it's secure. Removal is easy. Pinch the bottom area of the cup (gently in case it's really full) and only use the stem to help "wiggle" it downward a bit for better grip. Don't yank it out by the stem. Just wiggle back and forth with it firmly pinched until you can slowly pull it out. If you have problems grabbing it, don't panic. Relax and give a "push" with your muscles while pulling on it like you would giving birth or *ahem* going to the bathroom. It will help it to come out a bit easier. That's it. Basically, the biggest thing is to stay relaxed because you don't even realize you're "squeezing" because you're concentrating. Honestly, I just throw it in there and do the "spinning" and then the gentle "push/pull" thing with more spinning and the total time is maybe 30 seconds. I only have problems when I'm distracted or rushing and realize I'm tightening up. Just remove and start again if you feel like you really screwed up the insertion rather than messing around and getting upset. I rinse each time with very hot water and either a touch of creamy hand-soap or menstrual cup wash, rinse again....reinsert. Easy-Peasy! Once you switch you'll never go back. Just be patient with yourself, relax, and try whatever sizes you think. Gymnastics are not required.

Tune in for this week's episode of "I Fell In Love With a Personal Hygiene Apparatus!" Tonight at 10!
Sweet Jesus Christmas Trees, I am in love with this thing! I know it was only delivered yesterday, and it may seem like I'm jumping into a serious relationship way too fast, but the heart (and parts below) cannot be bound by the laws of lesser beings.Besides, this isn't my first rodeo. For the last 6 months I had been using the smaller Diva Cup. And for a while, I thought I was in love. It took me about 3 cycles to get there. The first Shark Week with the cup was exciting for the novelty of this neat new thing. The second cycle was just... kind of disgusting because I still wasn't totally confident or even all that knowledgeable about my own squishy bits. Monthlies 4 and 5 were just... meh. The routine that sets in after the honeymoon phase, you know? But 4 days ago tragedy struck! The swollen Gordian knot of rage and agony in my uterus started to exact bloody revenge on my pitiful mortal form... and my Diva Cup was nowhere to be found. I looked for that sucker high and low, to no avail, and I still have no clue where it went. I made the dreaded midnight tampon run because after 6 months of freedom, all of my reserve supplies of vampire tea bags had been smugly handed out to girlfriends, work colleagues and various menstruating relatives still trapped by the cotton surfboard on the crimson wave. Re-read that last ridiculously hyperbolic run-on sentence and insert your own personal perspective if you want to know what self-loathing and bitter regret feel like in the cold light of hindsight. It ain't pretty. After hopping back on the cotton pony for a full 12 hours I was done. It was uncomfortable, it didn't fit right, I had the worst cramps that I've had in MONTHS, and to top it all off, the sonsabitches kept soaking through and leaking!Yeah. My superpower is Epic Laundry Slaughter. Tremble and bow before my uterine wrath!Anywho, this tampon madness had to go. You can't go around stabbing a proud and noble beast with captive cotton-rods after 6 months of gentle cooperation toward the same goal: living my damn life with no fear of having to explain a natural bodily function to my prepubescent niece using the ridiculous euphemisms that society insists on in lieu of hard facts and proper terminology. But, I digress. In addition to being passionate, liberally literate, devastatingly attractive and ever so slightly verbose, I am also engaged in a long-term game of creature comfort Russian Roulette called "Broke Till Friday -- Again!"I was waffling between the Lena cup and, (my ultimate selection) the Blossom cup. Why did I not go cartwheeling back to my first love, the Diva Cup? A few reasons. In this particular case, cost was a factor. If I had been 158% satisfied with every single aspect of the Diva, I would have repurchased it, cost be damned. It was a good, no... a GREAT cup. It did its job, but there were little nags for me. Of course, my lady-cave is a delicate, mysterious, sensitive vessel through which human life is brought into being, but I didn't realize how delicate and sensitive we were talking about until I ditched the tampons and embraced the silicone rage catcher. The Diva Cup I had was the smaller of the two sizes offered. I am 28 and have never spawned. The Diva was a much stiffer cup than the Blossom. It was also a tad bit longer, so even the little one never really felt 100% comfy-womfy. The stem kept rubbing, sometimes the entry sequence and atmospheric injection burn was little rough, and contrary to popular wisdom, there was never a time when I forgot about it because I "couldn't even feel it!" I ALWAYS knew when I had a guest touring my Barbie Dream Beach Resort. It also slipped around and out WAY too often for my liking. The problem was that I didn't even realize that these were problems! The Diva is a fantastic product that opened me up to an entirely new facet of the female existence, and I will always preach that magic and be thankful for the experience. That said, losing my Diva was actually a blessing for me. Let me tell you about my Blossom.I LOVE this cup! If I were any happier with this product, it would be illegal! We're all ladies here, so I'm going to be viscerally honest with you. Every single lady with whom I've swapped war stories SWEARS that you may think you have a heavy flow, but it's nothing compared to hers.I'm not going to downplay another woman's experience with her own body. We are all subliminally taught from a very young age that our bodies and their natural processes are disgusting, filthy, shameful and not to be acknowledged in polite conversation. It has taken me years to re-educate myself about my own body without feeling disgusted or ashamed, and if anything that I say helps someone else feel better about themselves in any way, I have done a good thing in this world. But, back to my description of the Eldritch Horrors that flee my body every few weeks. My monthly voyage down Lucifer's Waterfall is pretty intense. There's screaming, there's gut-searing pain, there's anxiety about leaving the comfort of my home and private bathroom, weird food cravings, and there is so. Much. Irritation. I am not a very pleasant conversationalist when I can literally feel a chunk of viscous tissue tearing free from my uterine lining and trying to slide down the Bifrost. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing us that women in tampon commercials actually exist and enjoy doing cartwheels on the beach in white bikinis. I've seen more convincing evidence of the existence of the dreaded chupacabra. But now? I get it. I would never attempt any kind of acrobatic maneuver with an UltraPlus tampon AND a backup pad. Hell with that mess waiting to happen. I can't do backflips anyway, but with the Blossom cup I would feel confident enough to try. The walls are slightly thinner than the Diva, and the entire Blossom structure is MUCH softer than the Diva. For me personally, the Blossom is an all-around better fit for my lifestyle, for my activities, for my attitude and, let's get this out in the open, a better fit for my Red Wedding.I went into such graphic detail about my Crimson Tide because I actually ordered the larger size of the Blossom. It was by accident, and I was a bit bummed over my stupidity, but I was desperate to ditch the plastic applicator hell in every box of Tampax. I am still thrilled with the Blossom cup in ways that I was not with the Diva. I have a Hulk-tastically heavy flow for about 3 days, so buying 2 boxes of super plus tampons was a necessity for me. I am a walking, talking environmental collapse over here. Even with the Diva Cup, overflow and leaks were an intermittent worry for me on heavy days. I now realize that this was NOT due to a faulty product, but because I was not using the product with the best fit FOR ME. The Diva is still an amazeballs item, and I highly recommend that every woman reading this give menstrual cups the opportunity to change your life. With the Blossom, I have had NO problems with comfort, fit, or Massive Panty Destruction.I am one very satisfied customer, urging other women to become similarly satisfied customers. I don't have kids, but I have nieces. I can already see disturbing attitudes about themselves and their bodies manifesting when we hang out. I look back at my own experiences with puberty and cringe. I hated myself. I hated my body. I hated the things my body did, things over which I had no control. I refused to talk to anyone about it, not my older sister, not my mom... I was barely ok talking to my friends, which presented it's own problems. We were all ignorant, stupid self-loathing kids trying to educate other ignorant, stupid self-loathing kids. That's how 3 of my friends had babies before high school. Calling MTV for Preteen Mom!I'm not trying to get preachy here, but if I had been presented with the opportunity to view menstruating as a positive experience with several interesting, safe and hygienic options for self-care, I would have skipped years of shame, hurt, fear and anger over a simple fact of life.Love My Blossom! Love My Life! Finally Love My Body!

So far, SO GOOD.
This is the first review I have ever left on a product, that is how pleased I am with it. I am early 20's and not sexually active and have tried using a different sort of off brand cup for almost two years. I always thought that whenever something went wrong like leaking or lack of suction, that it was my fault. Then I lost the cup I was using (Sorry to whoever found that) so I had to order a new one. I ordered this one after I did some research and saw the reviews.MAN. I HAVE BEEN ENLIGHTENED. After the first time using the Blossom small black cup, I actually felt the suction! I wore a pantie liner to bed because I was so used to leaks with my first cup, and was so thrilled when this cup did not leak in the night! I have used it for one cycle so far, and only had one incident of leakage, and I believe it is because I did not put it in right or check for proper suction. This cup is a more firm silicone, and I found inserting in a C position works best as it is more difficult to shape it another way. The only small small small complaint that I have is because it is a more firm cup, the tab is short and because the SUCTION IS SO DARN GOOD (because it has 4 holes for vacuum sealing, rather than the regular 2), it can be difficult to squeeze to remove. But I think that is more of a good thing than a bad.I am recommending this product to any woman who wishes to switch to cups.

Should have used this sooner!
I have been using this cup for over a year now, and although it did take some getting used to (especially in terms of navigating the removal and emptying), I have been so happy I switched over to the cup since the very start. My friend has been using her cup for years and I decided to start using it because I was going to be traveling a lot during a sabbatical year and didn't want to be carrying around tampons and whatnot. I used it in all my travels, on various continents, while camping, while hiking the Inca trail, while scuba diving..and this thing can handle it all! Makes my period more comfortable and I'm not as worried about leaks. At night, there may be some leakage, but you just need to know your flow and possibly where leak-proof panties or a liner. All women should use these if they can, I truly wish I had started using one sooner. My only downside to this one is that I wish the stem had bigger ridges on it, just for ease of gripping it for removal, but otherwise, it has been great.

Very good for the price!
I was looking for a cheaper alternative to my Diva Cup and I wasn't disappointed! It is very comfortable and easy to use. One thing though: the Blossom Cup feels a little shorter than the Diva Cup, so it's a little harder to take off, I recommend the 'squat' position to do so LOL! Also love the fact that I could order it in black, I really don't like the transparent ones since they become yellow-ish over time.*sorry if my comment is unclear, my first language isn't English, I still hope that was helpful! :)

Highly recommend
This is my first time using a menstrual cup and have done diligent research on it. I was looking for a more affordable option and stumbled upon the Blossom cup. A lot of people were saying how they struggled to put it in on their first tries so I ordered these ahead of time before my period hits so I can practice. The instructions were very thorough and clear. On my first day of trying these out I did struggle but got better at putting them in through out the day. It was comfortable and actually felt way better than a tampon. On the week of my period, I didn't have any leaks since I've been practicing putting it in correctly. I actually found it fascinating to get a measure of how much blood comes out since there are measuring lines on the cup. I would highly recommend this brand to anyone who wants to try out menstrual cups.

Very satisfied with my blossom cup
Very surprised by this product. When I got it, I thought it looked way too big and I didn't know how I was supposed to insert it (I got the small size) But after a few tries I got it in properly and was happy when I didn't feel anything. Takes a few tries to get it right. The instruction book it comes with explains everything. Very smooth material, soft, easy to manipulate. I can go about my daily activities and not have to worry about leaks. Just pay attention to it, how often you need to change it depending on your flow. If you have a heavy flow you might want to buy the large size.Nice for night time as well. Nice to know that I will not be having to spend money on tampons and pads anymore, I may just keep a box for friends and family, emergencies etc. I like the idea that I am helping the environment by disposing of less waste. Will be buying again!!!
