They stay bright all night.

I bought 2 sets of these lanterns and they are great!! Realistic flickering and pretty bright as well as being durable.The only problem appears to be the battery, both sets I purchased worked for a short while but then went dark. As the directions recommend replacing the battery every 12 months, I took a chance and bought the appropriate 1.2v rechargeable batteries. It worked like a charm!!The batteries are not that expensive and I feel it is well worth the effort since the lanterns are so well made.

When I received these lanterns they were smaller than I expected, but they give off plenty of light. I live in Florida and hurricane season can be scary and one needs to be prepared even if it doesn't make a direct hit. There are other times that the power can go out too. One time I had a bunch of candles and a couple of flashlights and that was not good. I put batteries in only one of these lanterns and was surprised how much light it creates and in all directions. I don't know if it is possible but it would be good if somehow it could be deflected or just not shine in your eyes. That said, I am still very happy with how good these work.

Arrived, well packaged and are very cute! However, I expected a better made product for the price. I had them on my patio for 3 days, it did rain one of the nights, One, of them stopped working and has not come back on since. Sadly, I don't think they are waterproof.

These are attractive, small, solar, flickering LED lanterns as described. All of mine had a small fixable issue within the battery compartment. Simple fix: remove the four screws securing the top. Lift the top to expose the rechargeable AA battery. Remove the battery. Look closely and you will see the battery contacts have not been pushed all the way down into the battery compartment causing the battery to lose contact. Simply push the + and - contacts all the way down into the battery compartment with your finger (push in a little then down into the bottom of the channel as designed). Put the battery back in, screw the top back on, place it in a sunny location, then enjoy it later. Don’t forget to turn the switch on (you can test it in the daytime by putting your hand over the top). I wrote this because I saw some of the comments about them not working but I still liked the lights...and knew a fix would be simple!
