Fly seem to fly right past it better used at night. Theres a hook to hang which would be great but you cant hang it because of the ridiculously short flex. It probably would work better if it could be hung I have to use an extension to plug it in never seen an electrical item with such a short flex

This zapper is ideal for trapping a whole range of multi - legged winged critters. Very effective. However, if you are close to it when it kills a moth, it emits a nasty smell when burning the insect to a cinder. There is a brush supplied to remove dead moths etc, which usually stick to the element. Be very careful when using the brush as you do not want to bend any elements, causing them to touch. There is a removable tray on the bottom which is a little fiddly to remove and replace. The benefits obtained from using this device are obvious, which overcomes the minor niggles referred to. DO NOT USE ANY METAL OBJECT to clear the moths from the element as you could be zapped with 800 to 1200 volts. Not the sort of thing to get you started in the morning !!

I bought this as I was inundated with flies.The sections in the zapper are too close together to kill house flies.The only thing I managed to get was a moth and some fruit flies.

Flex is far too short so need an extension cable and also it doesn’t attract flies , they have to fly into it to be zapped . Not great .

It works OK but the item turned up after waiting nearly a month with a 2 pin plug on witch is only good abroad.not the UK.

I was looking for a fly killer by the time it arrived it was a mosquito killer first and foremost. A fly was on the window when we plugged it in next morning it was still flying round and returning to the window only 12 inches away. Also it had a very short lead I would have liked to put it on the conservatory table but it only reached the shelf 6 inches lower.

Very pleased with this purchase. Living in Scotland we are plagued with the mighty midge at this time of the year. Thought I'd give this a try and pleased I did. Really effective at zapping them. Open the door to let dog out and within minutes the zapper is going off like a fire cracker. Will be purchasing another to use by the front door!!!! Midges beware!!!

Compact and unimposing, visually pleasing, only negative is the cord length, far to short for ceiling hanging and wall socket distance.
