Sta-Rite 27002-0100S System 2 3 PLM100 Module Cartridge Filters 270020100S

This filter is very good quality for the price, HOWEVER.....you will most likely have to make the hole on the bottom larger, because it will not fit over the discharge connection at the bottom of the filter assembly. I did it by using a rough file, and then sanding it smooth. It took about 15 minutes before it would fit correctly, and not "rock back and forth".. I did not use any grinding tools because I was concerned that it might not be perfectly circular when I finished. I assure you that the filter assembly ID is correct, and the filter module is correct. ID #'s are on filter assembly top half. I ordered one of these filters several months ago, and returned it for the same reason. It would not fit over the discharge on the bottom. I gave up and ordered another, knowing that I would probably have to manually make the hole on the bottom bigger. See additional comments for the same issue, on line. For some reason, these filter modules will not fit properly. Perhaps it is because my unit is 14 years old, but there really should not be a change. Oh well.

Everything was great EXCEPT the filter would NOT fit !! This is my third filter of this type and I have never before had a problem and would always rate this as a 5 star. However, this unit would not seat all the way and therefore the container top would not close. Instead of sending it back, I did a precision grind taking .025 " off the filter outlet taper. Realizing that most customers would not have this capability, I found it necessary to notify (warn) the customers that this may likely happen to them.The solution is for the manufacture to correct there molding error!!

Just what my water feature called for! Easy peasy and seems to be quality. No problems after 4 months. At least 40 percent cheaper than my local pool shop. Definitely will buy again if needed in a few years.

My pool was green and foggy from the old filter that I constantly had to clean but then a put this filter in and the next day my pool was back to normal. I plan on cleaning this filter until I have the same problem to save money because you really don’t need a new filter every single time. One bad thing though is that the little filter for the small tube was crushed when I came so I had to use the old one but it’s fine

Cheap knock off. This filter lasted from Mar until May. Inside completely fell apart. Dont waste your money. Buy name brand. I learned my lesson this time.

Over the years this has been my 3rd Sta-Rite filter. This is the cheapest price I have paid. Few minor issues.. As a new replacement part it took a little extra pressure to seat it into the filter tank. Now it fits fine. I didn't expect a bleeder assembly with the cartridge. My prior cartridges came with one. I kept the old bleeder.. just in case. As I read in another review, yes.. there seems to be a thin coating of something on the top of the cartridge. So far, it hasn't affected my pool filtration. Overall, it works for me.

The inlet hole on the bottom was very tight.Others who bought this item dremeled some material from the outside of the inlet hole to make it fit.I applied a liberal amount of vasoline on the outside portion of the filter and gently fitted it into the filter housing applying pressure.

Exactly what I needed to replace the one I had at a much lower cost than my pool company would have provided it. Very tight fit however and had to shave down part of the plastic inlet and use silicone grease to get it to fit
