This is a simple kitchen item that is much more versatile than just a popcorn popper. In fact, I use it many times a week to steam vegetables. To make stir-fry without adding too much oil, I steam mixed veggies in the basket with 1/4 cup of water. In the microwave, it takes just 2 minutes to get them just right. Then I put them into the wok or skillet at the last minute and add sauce.Of course, it works well for popcorn too, but I prefer Trader Joe's Movie popcorn.

Even though I gave it a three, I am not upset about anything in particular. It's a little on the small side. I can only put about a quarter cup of corn in there. When cooking in the microwave, you have to stop before all the kernels are popped, or it will burn. IDEK if that is due to the item or just the nature of microwaving popcorn.It probably deserves a higher rating since it does exactly what it claims to do.

The button part was broken when i receive it, but it worked fine

...But my fault...I was looking for a smaller/more single serve size [I know, it COULD be considered a "single serve", if you're at the movie theater], but for 2-3 ppl to share, it IS a very good popcorn maker. It's also supposed to be TOTALLY oil-less...but melting butter on the lid works well and adds good flavor...[still "playing" with it...]

I had such hopes for this product. I love popcorn but hate putting it on the stove and dealing with the oil and what not. This thing popped a perfect batch of pop corn on the first try. After that, it never worked again. The kernels refuse to pop. I have no idea why.Update, I found if I add small amounts of oil and up the cook time to 4 minutes, it halfway works. But this is not ideal as I bought this specifically so I can enjoy my favorite snack without the oil and mess associated with cooking it stovetop. That being said, I must give it a 2 star as it kinda sorta works. Not great imao

I am a popcorn snob/connoisseur (ask all my friends who make fun of me) and this is the absolute best popcorn maker on the market. I used to order it from another company (not Amazon) and they screwed up the last 2 orders along with adding on a pretty big "handling fee" and shipping, which doubled this price. For some reason that I am grateful for, Amazon is now carrying this and I will be ordering more and sending them to friends.This is how good this thing its: I broke up with a guy who also loved popcorn in this popper. He called me every name in the book and told me what a horrible person I was, but two months later he sent me a groveling text asking me how to get this popcorn popper.There are 4 ways to make it, all using loose kernels:1) Pop the corn without any oil or butter and you have air popcorn. You can also melt butter in the micro and pour it on after it's popped2) Put butter right on top of the kernels and the popped corn will absorb it3) The top has a well in it so you can put the butter there and it will drip down as it melts4) You can put a little vegetable/other oil mixed in with the kernels and it will be a little less dryCannot say enough about this item!

I tried it many times and it never worked it’s useless it’s horrible it’s a waste of money don’t waste your time don’t waste your popcorn kernels and don’t make your fire alarm start buzzing

This works very well as far popping the popcorn. There is also a well for the butter to melt butter over the popcorn. It is simple to use, and you can have buttered popcorn in just a few minutes. Probably works best for up to 2 servings at a time.
