KAVURope Sling

Who loves this bag! Before I ordered a bag like this I read every single review hoping to find someone who was plus sized and blessed in the chest to make sure this would still fit without squeezing me or squishing everything! Haha! This bag is PERFECT!!! Colors are beautiful, fits like it was made to for me! So happy with this purchase.

So after days of contemplating all the different prints and materials, I ordered 4 kavu rope bags. One in each material, to see which one I liked best. Cotton canvas, polyester canvas, the lighter polyester, and cotton with PU coating. This review is for the polyester canvas in the Mohave print, hence the 5 stars (I gave the cotton canvas a 3 and the lighter poly a 3 and the cotton PU coated a 4). Here's my full rundown of each material...The light polyester in the Arrows print. Cheap zippers and the hard pointy plastic coating that must surround and seal the top of the ropes pokes through the top of the bag where it meets the top of the ropes. The material is not thick enough to prevent that sharp ending from poking through. In comparing it to the other three bags, this one seemed to be the least sturdy and most cheaply made bag.The cotton canvas was too brightly colored (Everglades tiles) and a bit stiff, and I can't get over the fact that it's not water resistant, and that other reviewers said theirs faded, so I'm sending this one back too.Then there's the cotton PU coated one that I got in the black and brown Python print. It's ok but a bit too stiff and eh. Also, I thought it would be a safe print in muted color, but it just doesn't make me happy. Sending it back.Now finally, the polyester canvas one that I got in the Mojave print...it's love! The bag is made well, it's sturdy but not too stiff, the colors are right, it's water resistant, and there are no annoying pokey parts! The bag itself is the perfect size for me. I was worried it would be too big and bulky on my petite self, but it's just right! I plan to use it for traveling, but might want to break it in beforehand ;). ALSO, so many reviewers complained about the front pockets not fitting their iPhones and I don't know what the heck they're talking about!!! The small top one might be too small for the iphone, but the bottom one can probably fit the bigger iphone 7 plus. There's plenty of room! I agree with others that the zippers could be of a better quality though. Looking forward to this bag being my go to!!!UPDATE!!!! - I returned it and lowered the stars from a 5 to a 3😔. The zippers are in awkward spots and I found it uncomfortable to access the stuff inside. I also found that it doesn't fit much, and I would sooner grab my LL Bean stowaway pack instead. This bag is probably more suited to people who don't need to carry much, and just want to keep their few belongings on their backs. In the end, I just found $50 to be too much money to spend on something that is just eh. I loved the straps and the look though, so I bought a knockoff for $14.95 that has the same rope straps! Not Amazon, but cheap enough to risk it 👍🏼

Initially, I noticed this was advertised towards mostly women... men here and there periodically. If you're a guy that always has some sort of everyday carry gear on you, don't hesitate to get this should sling bag.So I'm a pretty active guy and almost always have a bag of some sort on me. I tend to carry food/snacks (vegan... prepare a lot of my own food so I don't have to concern myself with eating out), water container, sandals, wallet, money clip w/cash, eyeglasses, sunglasses, hat, personal carry, and headphones... then random things I need on my person. This bag carries my daily essentials with ease (excluding sandals).The build quality is pretty solid and the size is just right. The rope-strap is surprisingly comfortable and well designed. The pack fits well on the midback area.My only concerns are that the top outside pocket uses velcro and I may replace that with a snap or two. The other concern is that there is no grab handle on the top side of the bag, but I just grab it by the rope strap if I need to move it around in the vehicle, on/off around me on the ground, etc.5 stars (almost a four) for being a solid bag. I'll followup and re-rate the bag accordingly if it doesn't age/hold-up well.

This is the third Kavu bag I've purchased, and although I really do love its size and comfort factor (and that goes for my other two smaller Kavu bags as well), I will probably be returning it. The main reason for this is the color of the bag I bought in the pattern "Trail Marker" wasn't accurately represented in the pictures. Although the purse looks to be a light khaki color in the listing, it's actually more of a darker tan with almost olive undertones. I'm not certain if this is because the fabric is polyester instead of cotton (which I actually like since it's "waterproof"), but I was definitely a little disappointed to see such a drastic color difference, which is why it's lost a star in my review.But as for the rest of the bag, I really was happy with it! The size was great and it felt comfortable on my back. My Samsung Galaxy S6 phone is too big to fit in the top front pocket, but it fits in the zippered front pocket just fine. I also like the dual compartments -- the largest one is on the left and has its own interior pocket, and the smaller one is on the right. It's enough space for all your items to have their own room and to keep things separate if necessary. I didn't think I'd like the "rope" strap since I had doubts that it'd be comfortable, but it's actually nice. And as I said before, I did like the polyester material. It seems like it would clean up nicely after a spill and keep your things dry during light rain, which is a great plus.At this point I've ordered a cotton version of this bag in another print ("Range"), and I'm hoping that it will be truer to the picture than this print was. Overall Kavu makes great bags, but this particular pattern just wasn't for me.

Excelente mochila tipo sling, los materiales son muy resistentes y es muy cómoda.La capacidad es suficiente para el uso diario, llevar pocas cosas. Los diseños son muy bonitos y para todos los estilos. Buena marca en general, ya he probado con otras mochilas de la misma marca y todas están fantásticas. Muy recomendables. Lo mejor es que seguido hay ofertas en la marca.

Love the look, colours & design of this bag. It also comes with 1 zip up inside compartment & 2 outside ones which is great for the smaller items such as iPhones & keys etc. The strap is definitely a selling feature of this bag... great quality, very comfortable & unique. Gave it a 4 Star rating because the bag is smaller than expected which I based on the Seller’s photo showing it up against a man’s back. Despite this, I really like this bag & know it will get plenty of use!

La bolsa está MUY bien hecha, los materiales son de calidad y se ve durable. La cuestión de no darle 5 estrellas, es que realmente el espacio de almacenaje es poco. Tal vez soy yo, que no estoy acostumbrada a este tipo de mochila, pero para alguien que solo quiere carga 2 botellas de agua para sus caminatas es ideal.
