Both sides fold in simultaneously. There is no way to use only half.

Q: Have they fixed the problem with the cheap wheels?

I was not aware that the wheels were cheap, I have not had any issues with the wheels.

Q: It was shipped without wheels - can you help?

You can either return it, ask for wheels to be sent or buy wheels on Amazon or at an office supply store like Staples. I would prefer larger wheels so it would roll better on carpet.

Q: When unfolded, what is the height from the top shelf to the ground?

31 1/2 inches from ground to top shelf. About 4 3/4 inches from ground to the bottom shelf.
