Warmer Than Gloves
Ordered these "lobster" gloves as the weather was turning colder. Arrived on time and I might add just on time for my local weather had turned really cold. I wear XL in both mittens and gloves and these fit just right. Definitely keep my hands and especially the fingers warmer than a regular 5-finger pair of gloves. There's enough room to add a thin liner pair if needed and I do so depending on the outdoor situation. For as long as weather permits, I do colder season bicycling and did so before the snow came and stayed rather early this year. Still bale to shift my many gears and do braking, although not precision as would be regular bicycling gloves. Looks to be a 4- and 1/2-month Winter season and this pair will be my primary. Do not have a report on how they do when wet as yet.

XXL is biggest lobster mitten I've found
I have huge hands. I can palm a basketball with just my thumb and ring finger. I also suffer from Raynaud's (poor circulation in my fingers). After much searching, these have been the biggest lobster style mittens I've found.I haven't had a chance to investigate how water repellant they are yet, but they are decently insulated and block the wind.

Oh, Swix- why the needless design change…to save a penny?
Got this pair to replace an almost the same pair of Swix lobster gloves I left on the bus day of the USMNT opening match.Got lucky finding a pair that fit okay this late in the season. My original pair might have been the XL so I could wear a thin inner glove for extra warmth for those freezy cold dog sledding days. These size L are a tiny bit short- I prefer the cuff to start where my wrist bends- these ride a couple mm too high. But they’ll do for this season. If your hands measureme in between sizes, I’d recommend going with the larger size, depending on how they’ll be used, local climate etc.Leather palms which provide grip on bike handlebars are same on old & new, (other brands of lobster mitts are about worthless for winter riding cuz they’re so slippery), as is the thumb fabric for a quick wipe on those drippy nose days. But the reason for the 1-star deduction: my original pair, purchased 3-ish years ago, had a “helper” strap sewn onto the palm side of the cuff which provided a grip to pull them on, and to help avoid undue wear on the elastic cuff. See the pic - if I can find some appropriate ribbon/fabric, I think I’ll add such a strap. When I get time. I’ll add it to my list of 85 other projects…I’ve used these for winter bicycling, dog sledding, skijoring and ice skating. If you’re active, they’ll keep you warm enough down to around 0° F, but might not be enough if you’re just standing around, especially on a windier day.

Warm
Kept my arthritic hands warm enough to temps in lower 40s. Very happy with purchase.

Not as warm as I expected.
Used these for skiing in 25 F weather, minimal wind. My finger tips were cold. Other people in my group, who had gloves, not mittens, felt fine. Very disappointed.

Good glove
Don’t want to write a review just like the gloves. Don’t know why someone gave it a 1 star.
