iPad mini Smart Cover for MD963ZM/A - Polyurethane - Dark grey

Exact replacement from another replacement I bought from Amazon two years ago and works great. The one that I bought two years ago increased their price to $35 per $18 when I bought it before. This one is just like it for even less. No, it doesn't come with the metal hinge like it shows in photo, so kinda deceptive, but I knew from other reviews and my older one is the same and works great. I am more than happy, but gave a 4 due to deceptive photo on item listing.Update: These only seem to last a few years and the cover starts to come unglued where the magnet is. I re-ordered another because a few year life is great considering I use this every single day. The latest version I got however was different than in ones past. The magnet that attaches to the iPad is much more narrow than in models in the past and is no longer an exact replacement as it once was. It now seems to come unattached much more easily to the iPad and I would now have to lower this item from a 4 star to a two to three. I am doing it as a three since everything else is good quality, but I would not buy this on again either with the much smaller magnet than in times past. Maybe I need to try to glue it on? I don't know yet, but would not buy again. Much of the time, when I close the cover on iPad, the iPad does not go to sleep either and results in dead battery when needed again. So disappointing that this item has changed from past versions.

Had one exactly like this but eventually the binder magnet separated from the cover. This is a replacement and is exactly like the original at 1/2 the price. As everyone has mentioned, the pictured version is incorrect. The actual product looks like this: Apple iPad mini Smart Cover (Dark Gray) - MD963LL/A (but the price of that one is over $30. The cover works beautifully at protecting your screen and putting the unit to sleep when you close it. I've tried the versions with the case but the case never seems to fit right which means the cover never closes right and that always prevented the unit from going into sleep mode.Long story short... this is what you need to protect the screen and put your tablet to sleep when you're not using it.

I compared it to my Smart Cover that I bought back then for my iPad mini 1. Exactly the same and for the price unbeatable. Just be aware that indeed it is not the one that is shown in the picture. There are no metal hinges. However, as far as I am aware this doesn't even exist for the mini. Overall very happy.

Delivered product is not as shown. I was hoping for a cover with a metal hinge, as in the photo, since my last cover got floppy and would turn the iPad mini on at random times that the cover slipped. The cover I received is the same as what I had: an unreinforced hinge.

This is nothing but a screen cover that falls off very easily due to a flimsy magnetic hinge...so I just wasted $12.95 because the return cost Amazon wants to charge me leaves me with a $4.76 refund....

Does what you expect. A little flimsy but i knew what i was getting.

This is a real Apple smart cover, comes in official apple packaging and at a fraction of the cost. its high quality and works as you'd expect.Doubles as a protective cover that auto turns off the screen and a stand for your iPad. If you have a iPad Mini 1st Gen - 3rd Gen this is perfect for you, although note it does not have a back case to it and its unlikely a case would fit over it but if all you want is the cover and stand functionality without the bulk of a case this does the job perfectly!

It works as a cover but the magnet detached very easily and there was no function I.e. it didn’t lock or unlock my pad, it came in apple packaging which was great but didn’t function like a apple product, I had my doubts about whether our favourite californium company had actually produced this, you decided?

This cover protects the crap out of my screen. Recommended because do you really want to scratch your ipad? Dont bother with the 3rd party cheap leather covers, they are rubbish and look lame. If you want a good quality cover get this one.

Had one before, protects the screen and turns it off automatically. Need to look around for a good price, as the standard Apple price is very high
