Disappointed at first then ok.
The truth, the sell said this was in working condition and it was not. The bulb was bad. I was considering returning the item, but when my original projector died I purchased a replacement bulb but it still did not work so as a last try I took the bulb out and put it into this projector and it worked perfectly. Since that bulb was brand new i now know the actual useful lamp hours. That does not change the fact that the seller said it was in working condition and it was not. By the way its a sweet little projector but with few caveats. It uses an M1 cable which are pretty much not used anymore so if you have to replace one expect to have to wait to have one shipped from China. Also it does not support HDMI without an adapter. That said considering the original retail price of 1,000 getting for for under a hundred. Even with the replacement bulb it was under $150.00

THE PROJECTOR FOR THE TRAVELING SPEAKER
Projectors have shrunk both in size and price; This unit is the perfect example. The Ultra-portable InFocus LP70+ is less than $1900. It boasts 1,400 lumens, 4,000 hour lamp, VGA (1024 x 768) resolution, 2.4 lbs, 2.58 x 6.1 x 7.8 (90% of the size of a cigar box), keystone correction of 15 degrees, 22.2' max image size, 1 watt built-in speaker, 120-240 volts, 1100:1 contrast and a 2 year warranty. When ordered through Amazon.com/JR Music World, there is a $50 discount and no sales tax (outside of NY) for a savings of nearly $200. Total price before shipping: $1,873.33.InFocus and other manufacturers have other even smaller models but they are not as bright. The LP 70+ provide the most bang for the buck. You can find less-expensive projectors ($799, $899) but they will be SVGA (800 x 600) resolution (fuzzy). Many hotels charge $500/day for LCD projectors. Meeting planners will love to hear you can supply your own projection equipment.I have used a Proxima x350 for the past three years. It is a great projector but the LP 70+ is much brighter and much smaller. I use my projector four to five times a week; I fly 4,000 miles/week. Weight and volume are major issues. The LP 70+ is more than a pound lighter and significantly smaller. Whether you are designing parachutes or carrying luggage, weight and volume are of great concern. Search for the smallest and lightest equipment.I love the LP 70+; you will too.Dan Poynter, CSP, [email protected]

InFocus LP70+ a huge MINUS
I work in the AV department of a large company. We no longer allow our employees to purchase InFocus projectors. We had a 17% failure rate. We purchased approximately 850 LP70+ projectors in the last 14 months. I still receive at least 5 a week that need to be sent in for repair to InFocus. Most are dead on arrival. InFocus claims they got a bad shipment of power supplies which affects SN range ANEN511XXXXX to ANEN535XXXXX. We have found this range to be false. Once past 30 days InFocus will not refund and will issue a like new unit, unless you are willing to wait 4-6 for repair. Spend your money on a Panasonic projector, We have over 3000 in service. I've had only 2 go down. They are brighter and more durable than comparable models from different manufacturers. DON'T BUY InFocus.

Sound amplification very poor, otherwise good
I had to always carry around speakers when I needed sound, which defeated the purpose of the small size of this unit. I have had good luck with it for about two years, but it did fail fully and finally the other day. Used in many locations with good luck until then, but the leg is weak and not easy to make horzontal, and it was broken off in a tiny move by someone else moving my projector.Recommended for visual use (PowerPoint, Keynote) but not for items with sound on the road.

LP70+
I bought this projector for business presentations. It is very small and light weight. The first one I had failed immediately. The power supply was bad. I sent it to the repair facility in Louisville, KY. After a month they were still waiting for parts so they replaced it. The second time I used the new one it went dark midway through a presentation. It worked fine after I let it cool off. I really like the small size and power of the unit. I just hope that mine is an isolated case.

Outstanding portable projector
For a portable projector the LP70+ is outstanding. I perform presentations in daylight illuminated rooms without problem. The zoom barrel gives great flexibility in positioning the projector. The size and weight is marvelous, it fits into my old leather briefcase with my Thinkpad, a book and documents, noisecanceling headphones and travel documents, all you need when you are on the road.It is easy to use, specially easy to shut down. Many lamps have been burned because of improper shut down. You can power on and down the projector and control most features from your PC through the Projector Manager Software, nice!Color is not great, but unless you sell artwork it is more than enough for presentations. I also use it regularly to see photographs at home with my family and friends.1024x768 native resolution is great!

Terrible!!!!
The initial projector was D.O.A. and I was given a refurbished one in return. It worked OK but the color was off. After about 5 months later it developed a shadow on the right edge. I sent it in for repair and when it returned, it would not focus beyond 3 feet. I sent it in for repair again and it just returned. It now powers itself down as soon as it turns the lamp on.This projector is a DUD!

LCD projector
This is a great little projector. We use them at work so I know it's rep. So I bought my own. I use this for outdoor movie nights. I would recommend this unit.
