I almost didn't buy these, as several people had bought the curtains in lighter colours and found they didn't block the light. Luckily, there were some good reviews for the chocolate colour, which was what I wanted, and I decided to risk it. So pleased that I did! These curtains block out the street lights at night and the sunlight during the day really well. They also keep the cold draughts at bay. Yes. they're a bit creased when they come out of the packaging but I'm sure these will drop out in time now that they're hung. Nice soft material and the perfect colour for our bedroom, so I'm very happy all round.

Nothing will make your room pitch back. But these come close. Photos show 9am in the morning. How dark it makes the room. They are great quality. And feel amazing. Love them hope my toddler stays asleep in the mornings now....

The photo of the natural colour isn't very accurate as they are a more of a peach colour not sandstone / magnolia I was hoping for. Also loose threads needed tidying up before hanging. Not sure about thermal performance - they are thin material and not like thermal curtains available at places like dunelm but they were cheap. Time will tell.

These curtains ARE blackout even though some reviews say otherwise. If you wish for proper blackout then you need darker curtains i.e black as it doesn't take a genious to work that one out. These do in fact block alot of light AND heat out and are even better of a night where you'd get car and street lights shining in these do the job BRILLIANTLY.

The curtain's arrived in time stated, well packed and in perfect condition.Lightweight, great quality and hang really well.Instructions say Dry Clean only, but I took a chance and washed them on a 20' wash in my machine as soon as they arrived and they are still perfect.No colour loss and only the lightest of ironing needed.I have had several various items from John Aird and never had anything to complain about.Thank you to all at John Aird.Kind regardsElaine

Bought red and silver. Poor POOR stitching with both and they used a different thread colour to the curtains.... red one was damaged which I paid for the returned. However I had no refund for the postage. Doesn't really blackout either. Used another company for my other curtains which were perfect. I'm stuck with the silver one's as I would have to pay for the return.... useless!

Love love love these curtains! Would highly recommend to anyone. Often some of the cheaper blackout curtains can be quite plastic but these have a lovely soft feel to them. I bought these in blue for my sons room and they are a perfect fit and block pretty much all the light out in the room. I love them so much I have bought a second pair in pink for my daughters room. You won't be disappointed.

These curtains do a good job at keeping light to a minimum at a competitive price. The only downside is that a bit of light does get through above and below the curtains though its nowhere near enough to disrupt my sleeping when on night shifts, I do have a 54" drop though so if you order 90" I suppose they'll meet the floor and you'll only have a little bit coming through the top. I may try and get around this by bringing my curtain pole closer to the wallThe pictures I have included are taken on a bright day at midday
