Kerastase Discipline Masque Maskeratine 200ml or 6.8oz Mask

The best product I've ever found for my coarse, wiry naturally dark blond hair. I do recommend several things in preparation. Use their Keratase Discipline shampoo (without sulfites) and wash your hair once or twice depending on how dirty it is. Rinse with cool water, then towel dry your hair without rubbing. Rubbing it only lifts the cuticles in the hair, roughing them up even more. Instead, I wrap my hair in a clean microfiber towel squeezing out the water thoroughly without rubbing the hair. I usually have to use 3 to 4 clean dry microfiber towels to get as much moisture out of my hair as possible. Then I apply a very generous amount of product and either wrap another clean dry microfiber towel arund it and allow the product to penetrate for as long as possible or up to 45 minutes+ or I sit under a warm dryer wearing a thin plastic hair cap for 20 minutes. I find if I don't use enough product, at least several tablespoons for my barely shoulder length hair, then it is inadequate. Then rinse it out thoroughly with cool water. Once again I wrap my hair in a clean dry microfiber towel squeezing out the water thoroughly without rubbing the hair. Once again it takes another 3 to 4 clean dry microfiber towels to get out all the moisture out before I spray-on the Keratase Discipline thermal product (heat protectant) and apply Keratase Nutritive Oleo-Relax an anti-frizz oil for dry and rebellious hair. Once again using both those products one has to be generous. Start with the number of pumps that the Keratase Discipline thermal product recommends. I spray both the top and underneath my hair trying to just spray each area once. Then start with the number of pumps that the Keratase Nutritive Oleo-Relax recommends. I require 2 pumps whereas you may only need a half a pump. Only apply the Nutritive Oleo-Relax from the ponytail area outward to the ends. Do not apply it to the scalp, or root area as it will make your scalp oily requiring you to reshampoo your hair. Remember as you brush or comb your hair the oil will be distributed by your brush to the scalp area to get that area shine without making it oily. If your hair still feels too dry or is not straightening properly as you are blow drying apply slightly more but go slowly so your hair does not get too oily. Then blow dry. I feel it is better to wait until after I blow dry and then if needed, I usually apply a little additional Keratase Nutritive Oleo-Relax to give a shine to my hair without making it oily. Yes, it is a big project (2 hours) to wash my hair so I do not do it daily.

I first learned about this product on a cruise to the Caribbean last year 2018 when I had my hair done in the spa salon. I very sick hair and even when purchasing the most expensive conditioners I would go through an excessive amount, and still having to use a spray in conditioner. But Paula the spa manager suggested I use a conditioning balm which would and here to the hair follicles much easier and deeper than a standard conditioner. This is smaller container and my hair is long and very thick and I literally only have to use maybe a quarter size amount for my entire head of hair. I purchased this product on the ship and it lasts me almost a year and then I found it on Amazon and still have the same container. It smells amazing it works amazing and now I only purchase Kerastase products. The shampoo styling products etc.
