The install was quite complex, but nothing to do with this pump, the stop-cocks both sides had seized, so I had to drain-down the entire system & replace both (also from Amazon)This pump is pretty much silent, does the job & no leaks.It has three modes "Min", "Auto" & "Max" - I leave it on "Auto" and it runs at lower speeds once the system had reached temp - so uses less power, hence A-Rating.Small bonus, it came with standard electrical plug for pump end, which wasn't shown in the picture, so I put that on the end of the wire & could then just plug in the pump - but you can also wire it straight in, if you preferIts a pump, it works, its silent, not sure what else to say :)--------------------------------------So six weeks in and I had an incident where there was no central heating that was caused by the pump.Some air got trapped in the pump, this caused the pump to stop & start a few times (three flashing lights) - I guess maybe trying to flush the air through, but eventually it gave up & completely shutdown. At the same time, the stop-start action caused the boiler to overheat & go into emergency shutdown.I had my previous pump nearly 20 yrs & never had anything like this, but it was a pure manual speed pump, not one of these "intelligent" low-power ones.Having bled out the air & reset the boiler, it's back to its previous silent & reliable operation - so no money spent & no harm done as such, just a pain - although the stop-start effect could have unnecessarily stressed the boiler.I know trapped air can damage an impeller, but this still seems an over-reaction and could be a pain for somebody who put one of these into (say) a holiday let. I don't know what a better reaction would be, but just not happy with the one I got. I guess modern systems have auto-air-vents fitted that stop this. I have a manual vent, but its comes after (not before) the pump.

This is a basic pump without the bells and whistles, It is a very quite pump and has a 6 Meter head, which should get the hot water to the third floor of any house with ease. I bought this pump because I have my attic converted into a bedroom and I need a good pump to get the hot water up their, and it done the job on the mid setting with ease. Forget about the Auto setting as I found with all pumps it is a useless setting.The pump comes with a five year guarantee for peace of mind and it looks the part. The pump replaced a broken one with ease.It was a direct replacement without any pipework alterations.I was also pleased to find the connection was a plug making any maintenance work very easy.

Our old pump gave up and because of the description I bought this one. I live in a three bedroom house and the pump is kept on the auto setting and works fine. It took me less than half an hour to fit. A great product that I have now been using for a while so still very good.

Easy to replace my old pump, all fittings seem to be of regular sizes and didn't even need to it the reducer or collar of the union.Pump has three settings, started on number 3 but after a while changed it back to auto and it is much smoother and quiet.
