My dog constantly pulls and this head collar has been a great training aid to stop this (mostly)

Have two dogs that pull trying to walk both at same time was hard work. But with gentle lead it is a pleasure walking them.

My dog first tried to remove the head collar by any means but once we set off on a walk he accepted it and the difference in his behaviour was remarkable. He no longer pulls!However, the neck collar does need a keeper to tidy up the excess length. My dog is not fully grown so I do not want to cut off the excess but having it hanging down is untidy and is a distraction for my dog. With the wet and muddy walks we have been having to take of late it will also get filthy. There is definitely room for improvement.

Read other reviews, and this product works very well.We also have another made by another manufacturer, and they seem to work in a very similar way.This one however, came with a guide booklet, which seems very good.

I have a Treeing Walker Coonhound. I love her to death, yet she can be quite aggressive on walks, pulling and lunging. I tried several collars before this, and was ready to try something more drastic, like a metal pronged collar, which I didn't want to try.I bought this after my wife made me watch the video. So simple, yet so effective. Literally from the moment I put it on her, she stopped pulling and is a pleasure to walk. She doesn't like wearing it, but, that's a small price to pay, as we're both happier. I recommend it. It's low cost, simple and really works!

This is a truly amazing product. I have tried everything to control my extremely strong lab from bolting out of control when walking her. She would see another dog or person and just take off and pull me harshly to the ground. This was not good, since I am over 70 and I did get hurt. Even a shock collar didn't work, she didn't even feel the shock! This is the only apparatus that effectively turns her around and brings her back in control. It compares to the control you have with a horse bridle (of course without the bit). It doesn't hurt her , it just redirects her. Why hasn't anyone thought of this before?PS: It did take her a little time to get used to it, mainly because she knew she was not it control anymore. Labs are extremely lovable but very strong willed. When she wears it now she doesn't mind at all.

So expensive in pet stores . This does the same thing for almost half the price.

I don’t leave reviews often but for this one I had to. This gentle lead is a game changer for those with reactive dogs. My 8 month australian cattle dog has been a nightmare during walks. He barks at everyone, people and dogs included. He sometimes thrases and lunges, scaring the crap out of people. He’s bot aggressive but he is highly reactive and extremely intelligent. I’ve tried training him with treats but he just ends up taking the treat than continuing with his crazy behaviour. I walked him with the lead for the first time today. At first he tried to take it off.This lead is secure. It will not come off. 5 stars just for that.It also allows you complete control. The moment he tried barking, I pulled gently and he stopped. This happened a few times during our walks, and it stopped him every time. It also helped so much with pulling. I’ve had the easiest, most stress free walk possibly ever. Highly recommended. Thank god this thing exists.
