Worth every penny and timely shipping.
I was trying to just find some sweeps for cleaning up hand drawn renders and came across these. I love the variation in size and the fact they are heavy duty. I have these for cars and buildings but I'm going to try a ship. Why not right? I've seen one other set and it had two pieces that were under a foot, however, with this set you can go big. The larger ones are 2 feet in length and the one set I've seen in person was barely one foot long and $40 for just two pieces. It seems templates just keep going up in price.C-Thru is a great brand and this set is a steal. The shapes are excellent and easy to use despite being labeled for ship/boat template. I don't know why it's so hard to find them but I'm glad I found a quality set. The shipping was fast and they work just fine for what I do.

Great addition to your French curve set
I build half-models of sailboats. Regular French curves don't have the length and variety of longer, gentler lines. These fir the bill, and are not expensive.

Garment sewers take notice..
Considering the high price for a set of fashion rulers for designing and altering patterns, these are a steal. Ship curves huh, I decided to give them a try? What a find. They suffice for all manner of truing curves. Since they are transparent and sometimes difficult to find on my cutting table, I took an indelible marker and traced the edges, I also numbered them for quick access. They of course do not have any measurement markings but rarely if ever, do I find I need this. I was planning on using these temporarily until I decided whether I would do enough to warrant the purchase of a professional set. Frankly these are doing the trick so well, I will put the extra money into some beautiful fabric, or other notions.

Different types of designing...
I like to dabble in all kinds of design. Main reason I got these was to expand my french curve set since when I am designing hotrods and kustom bikes the french curves never seem to be long enough. So they work great. i will also use them in ship design (I taught myself and play around with older style boat and ship designs).

Not cleanly finished after tooling
I wanted to use these for the design work drawing tight clean curves, but since they didn't bother to properly remove the tooling studs off of the curves I couldn't draw the clean curves I wanted without drawing little bumps. That was so annoying that I returned these and got the more expensive Alvin set. Totally worth the money.
