I was blown away by the story!
★★★★★5 Blow StarsARC received from TRSoR for an honest reviewReview also posted on Mara's Bookshelf"Somethings in life will just never make sense."I have read every single book Kim Karr has written and I've loved them all, but I think she outdid herself with Blow! This is phenomenal story writing from her and I was simply blown away. This is a different Kim Karr work, although we have seen glimpses on how she builds up certain mysteries and suspense in her books, Logan and Elle's story is a full blown mysterious, steamy, keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat novel.Brought together by a dangerous circumstance and the sense of protectiveness, Elle and Logan's relationship is anything but simple and sweet. Theirs is full of intrigue and had me questioning everything that's being and said and done not just between them but the other characters, too.I've been lucky to have been with the author since the early stages of this book, and reading the final version wasn't easier than when I was only giving a few feedbacks here and there. I found myself still feeling like it's the first time I've read it and if any, I was more stunned and left with more questions.I have been sitting on writing a review for Blow hoping that the words will come to me, but after weeks of trying to think on how to write a review that will at least come close to giving justice to how incredible the story, characters, and writing are, I only ended up with the first paragraph above. It doesn't help that I also do not want to spoil anything -- and I mean anything -- to those who have yet to read this. It's quite a challenge for someone like me who enjoys rambling about what I loved about it and what my guesses and thoughts are about what's happening. Though, come to think of it, that should tell you something. Right? If you're wondering if this still has the Kim Karr romance touch, you need not worry because Blow has some sexy scenes that made it to my list of hottest shower scenes and an electric chemistry between the main characters. Also, Clementine is adorable!Kim Karr will take you on ride that will guarantee your heart to race, your skin to tingle, your cheeks to blush, your lips to smile, and if you're always close to tears like me, your eyes to water. This is not just about love and danger, this is about family and what you are willing to do to protect them and the people you love.Stars: 5 starsRecommended to: Kim Karr fans. Readers of romantic suspense.Series: Book 1 of 2POV: First person. Dual POV.Extra Comment: Have you taken a good look at that cover? Holy meatballs!

In love with Logan!
Blow by Kim Karr… is it cheesy to say I was blown away? Too late because I just did and I was. Kim Karr is a personal favorite and I don’t think there is much she can really do wrong. Blow is no exception. Life has gotten in the way a bit or otherwise I would have read this the day it was released. Without further delay, here’s my thoughts on Blow…Logan McPherson is a book boyfriend worthy of gossip and fanfare. He has an edge and he’s definitely a bad boy but there is so much more to him. Life, as it does, has shaped his existence and decisions are made from circumstance and Logan has some complicated circumstances. The structure of his family has set up a double life of sorts. On his mom’s side he comes from high society and wealth while his father's side consists of the mob and a notorious killer. Logan knows more than anyone these two opposite lifestyles have more in common than you would think.Logan has his demons to conquer but at the heart of it he’s a guy who wants to do right in his choices and by his family. Logan is a mystery wrapped in toned muscles and great hair and as we take the journey reading Blow we slowly discover what the enigma is made of and you won’t be disappointed by what’s inside.Elle Sterling, she’s a complicated female lead in the best way possible. She’s been living life as a nomad toying with self discovery and maybe even doing a little running, trying to avoid the darkness of her past. Like Logan, she’s got her own book of secrets and handbook for her way of love and life. She’s been alone for a long time, no friends, no family, and only one boyfriend in her past. She’s strong and can take care of herself physically but throughout Blow she learns how to let people into her heart and mind as well.Life has just changed for Elle though. A phone call she never expected forces her to put down roots. Now she has a home, a business, a new friend, and a little girl to watch over. This is a monumental change for someone who has existed never staying in one place too long and never growing overly attached to the people surrounding her. If that isn’t complicated enough she’s stepped into a world of danger… Is she a target and if so, who is out to get her and will spending time with Logan be her salvation or her downfall? Well you’ve got to read to find out!Blow is suspense done right. There is angst and thrill done in a way that has you flipping the pages (well as much as you can flip the page in an ereader) and greedy for more of these characters and more of what is to happen next. Sometimes in suspense the writing constantly hints at what’s to come in a way that at a certain point you’re just like ‘Okay, I don’t care anymore!’ But Kim Karr’s writing is the furthest from this as possible. Her writing only encourages caring for these characters and what will happen in the pages to come.Blow is written in dual POV and the story/plot is fresh. The characters aid in the sense of mystery with their closets filled with secrets. Logan and Elle have great chemistry and not just in a physical way. The sex scenes are delightfully steamy but these two soon find out they connect on such more more. A romance that’s been forbidden seems to be the key (and I don’t mean the forbidden aspect but the people involved) for these two to fight for companionship, affection and a partner in crime.Blow exceeded my expectations from a woman whom I know delivers 5 star reads. This is a duet book and Crush (book 2) releases in less than a month (November 16th). This blogger has already pre-ordered and I can’t wait for the conclusion (Blow does end in a cliffhanger) of this yummy, suspenseful read. I guarantee that you will devour Blow and join me in the countdown till Crush.
