Not durable, but ok for the price
Pretty cheap, it received a couple small tears during our first trip to the beach with it. Must've been rubbing against something in the trunk, but I had it on top of luggage so it wasn't getting crushed or anything. It held up fairly well to a pretty stiff beach wind at OCMD, but it did invert while I was trying to get it setup. Once I got it in and angled the umbrella into the wind, it held up just fine. If you go to the beach once a year, this should give you a couple years of use. If you plan on using it frequently, spend a bit more on a more durable option. I HIGHLY recommend the Rio Sports Sand Anchor if you get this... It makes the whole system sturdy and placing it in the ground couldn't be easier.

Sturdy umbrella for a good price.
The umbrella is a nice and sturdy one. It gives a good amount of shade, and it's compact enough to store easily. However, it did not come with a case so we ended up just using the plastic it came in. The pointed end does little to help "push it into the sand," but I suppose that is a give in. We enjoyed being able to angle the umbrella head to fit the angle of the sun, so that was a nice point. If you were to buy this, I definitely suggest buying an extra weight to help keep it placed in the sand or wherever you might use it.

good buy
Great buy for the money - some of the umbrella prices are really outrageous, this was reasonable. I left it up in the back yard to make shade for my cats and it held up very well. The pole filled up with rainwater and after a while, and the color faded some, but still not bad for a summer's continual use.

Great but no cover
This umbrella was quite large (although I would've bought a larger one for a family of 4) and held up well for a windy week at the beach. I would highly suggest a corkscrew anchor. It is a good weight but, boy, do I wish it came with a cover/carrier.

Held up well
This umbrella held up well in normal ocean breezes. Small but large enough for a little relief fron the sun for us and our dogs. We got our money's worth.

It's really no good for the beach
First time I used this umbrella the plastic cap on top fell off, a gust of wind turned the umbrella inside out and several of the ribs bent. It's really no good for the beach. You get what you pay for!

I haven't had a chance to use it yet but I know it will be good for what I want.
