If you want a decent inexpensive 300 Spartan cape, this is the set for you. The replica stuff is crazy expensive, but this is decent for the price . The rest of it (arm, leg and waist pieces) are typical Halloween costume quality (vinyl?). Also, don't dismiss the brown shoulder strap. It goes around your neck, under your arms and velcros in the back, and has velcro at the neck that keeps the cape in place (otherwise the cape sags backward and strangles you). I wish I could wear a cape all the time, it's really a great feeling.

I ordered a medium. I wear a 30-32" waist in pants. The skirt wrapped almost 1 1/2 times on my waist! As stated in other reviews, the Velcro is in all the wrong places and I'll have to do some creative tinkering with a seamstress to make the next one work. I'm sending this one back and replacing it with a small. And I'm not a small man. I'm 5'8", 170 lbs with 15% body fat. I work out nearly every day. This looked amazing on me when I had it pinned and clipped. But I would rather start with something closer to a prime fit than "making do" with one that takes a LOT of adjustments. Got the small size last night and immediately tried it on. While it is still a bit "large" in some places, it can easily be tailored and fixed. The velcro on the skirt barely catches so it seems that the skirt is meant for a 32-34" waist and not my 30". The shoulder wrap around strap fits better but still doesn't have a proper velcro to attach the cape and also needs an attachment piece at each shoulder to keep it in place. Gauntlets and leggings fit fine. All in all, this is a great costume for a reasonable price. Just make sure you order it ahead of your event because it will take some attention to make it perfect.

Didn’t come with a cape and everything fits extremely large and I am not a small man. A M fits like a L or XL. The skirt waistline fits for fat people. Quality is garbage for the price.

YOU CANNOT WEAR THIS AS IT COMES. When we tried to make this work, it was perplexing ... there were no instructions and chest strap seemed to serve no purpose. There was Velcro at the neck of the cape that didn't attach to anything, but I read prior reviews and someone explained that the Velcro at the neck of the cape holds the cape to the chest strap behind your neck ... in other words, someone forgot to put Velcro on the chest strap where it passes behind your neck. We added the Velcro and the cape hung perfectly but the part that comes around the front where the broach attaches seemed twisted as if the Velcro on the cape shoulder tab was on the wrong side. We replaced that and the result was exactly as pictured. Please note that I actually ordered two of these sets hoping to avoid the modifications but both had the same problems. I cannot be sure that the Velcro on the chest tab of the cape was sewn to the wrong side of the tab, but it looked wrong as they had it and it looks perfect on the other side. I am sure that the Velcro on the chest strap was left out in error because there is nothing to attach the Velcro at the neck of the cape to without it. Finally, do not order the size by the size pants you wear. I'm 5'6" and I wear 30's to 32's in pants, but a Medium was WAY too small. The XLarge fits perfectly. The entire thing is useless as it comes, but I still gave it a 3 star rating because it does give you the raw materials to make a really great costume if you can sew, and have the physique for this outfit.

The quality of this costume is excellent. However the Cape is a bit of a pain. Standing at 5 foot 9 inches, the end of the Cape was dragging on the ground as I walk, therefore it was difficult to move around comfortably.

Costume looks great I’m 5”6 1/2 and weigh 165 and I compete in classic physique, I ordered a Large thinking that maybe I should have ordered a medium but the large fit me perfectly can’t wait to get my Spartan helmet now to complete my outfit and take some pictures!
