Savinelli Oscar Tiger Rustic 606 KS Tobacco Pipe

I hadn't smoked a pipe since my college days when I was inspired by Melville and the Great White Whale ( and mostly the scene of Queeqeg smoking a bowl and thinking he had a choice to make. My first pipe was a Pan - headed meerschaum. I smoked Capt Black.These many years later my brother re-introduced me to pipe smoking. I purchased this pipe. It is a beautiful and well made pipe. It seems to have been reasonably broken in after smoking about a dozen bowls through it. It fits well in the hand and aside from a few of the first bowls, doesn't get hot or smoke hot, as long as you take it slow.It is a deep bowl, and will make for a long smoke. I've smoked a good bit of Nightcap through this and this model, the 606, seems to work well with english blends.Good, open draw. Gurgled only briefly in the few times I smoked an aromatic through it, in the very beginning.Only been smoking this pipe for a few months but it feels like a keeper.Highly recommended.
