I don't use indoor balls that often, but these are much better on surfaces, like hardwood, that prevent outdoor balls from bouncing as well.

If you'd like practice keeping your eye on the ball or want to improve your reflexes by adjusting to unexpected ball movement, these pickleballs are for you.I'm a 4.25 player and the groups I play with all use Franklin's outdoor pickleballs. Assuming Franklin indoor pickleballs would have the same quality construction as the outdoor pickleballs, I ordered a dozen.As you've no doubt guessed, my assumption was not correct.When playing on an indoor gym floor, the balls would skip instead of bounce somewhere around 10% of the time, and have a much shorter than expected bounce about 5% of the time.We've been playing singles on this particular court for a couple of years, typically once or twice a week for an hour at a time. Tonight we stuck with the new Franklin balls (rotating among 6 of them) for about 20 minutes before switching to another brand of pickleball (which had consistent bounces and did not skip at all).Bottom line is that while these pickleballs would be great if our goal was to practice keeping our eyes on the ball, during game play on a gym floor they changes our pickleball games from fun to frustrating.

Great Pickleballs. Very reliable and true bounce.

We got this 3 pack because it's the same brand used by the community center where we normally play, and some of the other indoor venues we've visited have had terrible balls. Unfortunately, the green color we tend to use wasn't in stock in 3 packs so we tried these blue ones. We've tried them in gyms with various colors of walls and floors but they are so much more difficult to track that we stopped using them at all. We ended up buying 24 green ones and putting three of them in the cannister that these blue ones came in. For outdoor we use the "lava" red color. Franklin's X line of balls are our favorites.
