Somersets Original Shave Oil 1.2 fl oz (35 ml)

Got tipped off to this product and have been using it ever since. No need for shave cream or soaps. Literally 3 drops spread on wet skin lubricates and leaves no razor burn. Leaves skin feeling fresh and clean. Well worth the cost. A bottle lasts a long time. No lingering scent.

This stuff is fantastic, makes shaving so much easier and quicker. Far better than shaving creams and leaves your skin moisturised afterwards. I never suffer from shave burn/rash since I started using this

I bought this product with low expectations for using it for travel and maybe under my shaving cream at home, but in fact I use it exclusively now, for both home and travel. No shaving cream, no aftershave, just the oil. I get good, drama-free shaves & I couldn't be happier with the performance. Pro tips: wet your face first, then apply oil, then wait a few minutes before shaving. Then wet your face again right before you start shaving and you're good to go. If you shave with the oil "dry" it won't work nearly as well. I love this stuff!

I was forced into this product when the TSA limited shaving foam cans due to risk of explosives. Recommend staying with the 'original' product since some of their recent products & formulations haven't been very satisfactory. Much better than some of the other products in this category.

I don't like the smell to much, it's a little too intense, have to try the "Sensitive Skin" version to see if the smell improves. Also it's not a thick oil, it's very liquid, so it absorbs too fast and doesn't give you the feeling of softness you you expect. I now have to try Porasso's Pre-Shave and compare (although they are different products). It also makes the shave too close, so some follicles die and then you have those thicket black hairs in the beard that have kind of a dead follicle surrounded by wax when you remove them. My girlfriend loves to take me out those, but I'd rather not have them at all...

Changed everything about shaving for me. Discovered while traveling and will never switch away from it. Have tried a couple other oils but Somersets is by far the best. The 35ml bottle lasts me about a year... it's still a relatively TINY bottle and travels wonderfully, it smells fantastic, it's completely natural and best of all it gives me the best shaves I've had my entire life without the burn and breakout I would suffer form occasionally in the past. This stuff is a win win, win WIN. I don't understand why more people aren't raving about it, honestly.

It always seemed wasteful to me to use a handful of lather to do something that should be so simple. Two and a half drops of this is all I need to shave (I keep a van Dyke so don't have that much to cover) without nicks or abrasion. At that rate this will last me a good long time and if I take it in a travel bag give me more room in my TSA approved bag of liquids.

Well, you lose a visual reference of what had already been shaved. But you can bring it on a flight with no problem and I have come to prefer the shaving experience with Somerset's shaving oil. Not too crazy about the tiny size version, though -- very difficult to use, resistant to squeezing.
