Just the perfect Samue, perfect fit, color, touch, cloth

This is a rating for the second set I bought. My first set I have had for about a year. It was, without any exaggeration, the item of clothing I wore most. The bottoms are what "comfy jeans" wish they could be. Now that I have two I swap them out as I rotate them through the wash. If I am home there is a better than 90% chance they are what I am wearing. They are quite heavy enough that I wear them when making trips to the grocery store and friends for visits. Very well made with no flaws on either set. The one I have had for a while has faded just a bit - consistent with being, basically, jeans, and for how much they have been worn and washed. The tops I wear less frequently but if I am home and a bit chilly or just want a little something around me for comfort it is always close by. I do think they are a bit pricy ... but for how often I wear them and how comfortable they are I am not complaining. And, for the record, yes - I was wearing them when the invitation to write a review popped into my email inbox. I started typing after a quick chuckle.

Chosen on strength of special offer. Sturdier than most samue or jinbei material, especially at its price. Good texture, and will need less pressing than my other kimono tops, seems able to hold its shape compared with other similar shirt jackets. A smarter look than other styles. Still pretty light material for denim, which is good considering the season. Still not a "live in" samue, though.

My son likes comfortable cloth’s after work… we have washed them twice but still not very soft or comfortable, so he hadn’t been able to wear them… unfortunately the were not a good purchase

I am 6 ft tall (182.88 cm) average/athletic build. I purchased 1 black and 1 navy blue according to the (confusing) chart. At first fitting they felt baggy/oversized, especially with the pants. The waist line felt right at belly button. I also noticed the dye from the material was bleeding. After soaking and washing cold for 2 cycles and tumble dry high for 50min I have noticed the dye has stopped rubbing off on my hands/furniture and the material has shrunk. I do not believe these garments have been pre-washed for shrinkage. However they fit as they should now that they have shrunk slightly. The dye has also lightened considerably after 2 wash cycles. Also, the fabric has softened up. Shipping was free, arrived in two days to Boston. Made in China. Garment label reads " Wa Bi Sa Bi". Care instructions are in Japanese. The Craftsmanship is average. Overall good purchase for the price but, keep in mind that the garments shrink, bleed and fade.

Being a barrel chested guy, I can NEVER find Japanese Samu that fit me. I always had to have them specially made at 3-4 times the cost of this one. I found the fit excellent, the quality superb!! I have ordered to day 5 of these! I sit zen meditation and am an acupuncturist and shiatsu practitioner, so VERY comfortable to work in!

The fit and finish are perfect. I’m a big person and buying Asian for Asia products can be tricky. I wish they had a few more looks in this size. Love the additional pockets in the top. Can be worn as pajamas but nice enough to be seen getting the paper or the mail. Especially if you have a good katana w you. Highly recommend!

I just received my order for the men's Edoten denim kimono top and bottoms and they are beyond my expectations! They fit like they were made for me. I'm a pretty big person so it is hard to find Japanese clothes that fit me. I'm going to get several sets of these before they don't make them or discontinue this product . Totally happy !! The quality is wonderful and the price is great !

Sehr gute Verarbeitung und hoher Tragekomfort, XL passt wie erwartet bei 181cm und 98kg. Der grüne Samue riecht weder nach Chemie noch hat er bei der ersten Wäsche gefärbt wie andere hier bei dem schwarzen Samue berichten. Bin sehr zufrieden, Hose wie Jacke sind top verarbeitet, sehr bequem, nirgends zwickt oder kratzt es. Der Stoff ist sehr wertig. Ich hatte einst in Japan einen blauen Samue geschenkt bekommen, der war nur leider vom Stoff extrem kratzig und leider kaum tragbar. Das Produkt hier von Edoten ist den etwas höheren Preis definitiv wert und macht den Eindruck langer Haltbarkeit. Zudem sieht er auch noch spitzenmäßig aus. Absolute Empfehlung!

Purchased this as a costume base layer for a brand new LARP system (Jade Throne) and it was warm and robust in a Coventry Campsite on a windy and wet September weekend. Comfy enough to lounge around the house in as well, hard-wearing enough to wear out and about. Impressed at how quickly it arrived as well.
