Upvc Door or Window Weather Rain Drip Bar Strip White Rosewood or Oak Colour: White, Rosewood Brown, or Light Oak Caramel colour finish options Overall Length: 850mm (is normally long enough to fit most doors over 1mtr width overall) Also available in a 1200mm length (Due to the increased length this size has to go via a courier hence the increased postage costs) Overall Width: 22mm Operation: Face fixed to external face of opening door or even windows. Comes complete with 4 purpose made fixing screws per bar and finishing end caps. Quick & easy to fit. The weather bar strip is easily trimmable to suit your specific door size with a saw. The 850mm dimension is normally more than large enough for even an oversized door and typically will do a door up to an overall width dimension of approx 1metre. Works equally as well as a upvc window weather bar strip to prevent excessive water entering the window system. Very robust, hard wearing, and very hard to be kicked off. Fitting tip: Simply draw a horizontal straight line on the outside face that the weather bar is to be fitted to. Equally mark out the 4 fixing screw lugs positions along the line. Either drill a 3mm hole through the first skin of the door / window, alternatively with a battery screw driver with a cross head end you can drive the self drilling screws in. Remove one of the end caps and slide the drip bar over the heads of each screw and set the drip bar centrally in position. For best results the bar should finish approx 5 - 10mm from each end of the door frame when closed and the bottom of the drip bar should be about 15mm above the highest part of the bottom of the threshold that the door seals to when closed. This allows for any expansion or movement you may experience over the years.

Good Product
Thought this was a a decent price for a good product, which does the job it is intended for. Arrived promptly. Easy to fit with a hacksaw. Self tapping screws ideal for UPVC doors. Recommend you use a bit of silicone or no nails glue to secure the ends

Door closure
It did the job but was a little higher than original, so clicked a bit into place..

Excellent, easy to fit and fits tight to the door.
This door strip is easy to fit and the instructions are in the product description. Fits nice and tightly to the door and was exactly right for our old Everest door. Not sure how you’re supposed to rate it for ‘Warmth’?! Have given it 5 stars as it shouldn’t lose points because the rating isn’t appropriate for the kit.

Does the job but could be better and cheaper
Fast delivery, rosewood colour matches the front porch which is many years old.The problem we had was the top of the door had warped outwards over the years and allowed rain water to come inside, worse when the wind was blowing that way too.Double glazing companies couldn't do anything with it as there's no more adjustments on the catches and they recommended buying one of these.Fitted easily using the supplied screws and gently tapped on with the side of my fist. I also used sealant along the edges to keep water out and I can see that it will stop rain water running in, however the downside is it is white underneath which looks daft. The description does say it can be used above windows so it's designed to be looked at from underneath. So we'll have to buy some brown paint. Is it worth £20? Well it saved us buying a new door, but there's no way it costs near £20 to mould this bit of plastic/PVC so it could be sold a lot cheaper I'm sure.

Great product
Perfect and does the job.Wanted a white rain deflector for my upvc door, I watched the YouTube clip showing how to fit and it worked like a charm. Well packaged in a strong tube . Easy to cut with a hacksaw and went on no problems with the supplied self tapping screws. My only tip is that the end caps don’t stay on so I used white silicon to stick them on and seal it once in place which was perfect .

Does the job
Water was coming in through my uPVC back door as the rain guard was missing when I moved in to the house. Fortunately the old screws were still in situ and this rain guard slid into place well.I used a tape measure to measure the door in the closed position and then used a mitre box and hacksaw to cleanly cut the guard to size. Remember to allow for a small gap at either end of the guard for the caps/covers to be placed. Towards the end of pushing the guard onto the screws, I did need to give it some light taps with a hammer (with some cardboard over the end to protect the guard).I have taken off one star as the end caps do not stay in situ. I super glued them into position and waited for them to dry before closing the door. Overall, very happy, but end caps could be improved.
