No assembly instructions! Weirdly translated manual.
Just got my Skikes in the mail and I was super stoked for sure. So far, though, I'm just a little peeved. First of all, I ordered the Skike Bundle with the poles, but no poles were included. [Note: they did come the next day, though I wasn't given any notice of this or any additional tracking number]Inside were _two_ manuals but they both leave a lot to be desired. Like, importantly, no assembly instructions! The wheels come unattached, guys...which of these 3 holes in the back and which of the five in the front should I try fitting them to? How come the nuts don't tighten all the way? You'll definitely need an additional wrench to tighten these on, and a second or deeper set of nuts. Looks like a trip to the hardware store.I'm a little thrown off by the weird manual. It includes lots of winning sentences like this one: "The lever should be directed backwards, so that it does not unnoticed dissolves when one touches an obstacle to the wheel, and so no cords, lines, wires or even garments are entrained in the dense (pedestrian) traffic."From a distance, that looks like English, but it's very hard to make sense of it. They probably ran their German through a Google translator. Both of the almost identical hype-filled manuals seem to have lost something in translation. There are bulleted lists of instructions for adjusting things, but they include things like "Repeat Step 3" without any Step 3 labeled as such.

the long term pounding on my joints and the aches and pains from long runs were my least favorite aspects of running
I have been an avid Skiker since May 2013 and I average about 35 miles per week on them. At age 62, I have done a lot of sports in my lifetime, but Skiking has become one of my favorites. As a former long distance runner (18 marathons) , the long term pounding on my joints and the aches and pains from long runs were my least favorite aspects of running. Skiking eliminates these issues while providing a superior level of overall body conditioning and a lot more fun. My wife and I enjoy exercising together for the first time in our marriage - she rides her bicycle and I skike with her at a pace of about 10 Mph. We generally go for 75 minute 'skike & bike' sessions and she loves our outings very much as we roll along bicycle paths and quiet residential roads. The Skike PLUS models are a definite improvement over the original v07s . The tires are better, the ride is smoother and straighter, the straps are more comfortable, and they look better. The quality of build is excellent. I recently purchased a new set of wheels because the tread on the first set is wearing sufficiently low that I am anticipating the need to replace the original tires sometime late this year. Last year, I skiked about 400 miles; this year, I anticipate exceeding 1000 miles over the 8 month Skiking season here in Toronto. My advice to beginners? Watch YouTube videos on roller-skiing skate technique or the same for Nordic skiing. The principles are identical and, once you have mastered the techniques and built your fitness level, I am confident that you will become an avid Skiker too.

Incredible for all roads and terrain.
I have been a rollerblader since 1994 when i first tried rollerballs. The workout, freedom, and fun i have is outstanding. I have been looking for skates to bring an enjoyable ride on the rough back roads since im on the road for work now. These big wheels are the solution and bringing my workout to another level. The changing between skates are so good for the legs because its giving the muscles a slightly different work with weight and strategy in which you skate. These often are used with large body kites which looks amazing.

Good product for a beginner skate-skier
Good product for a beginner skate-skier, but I had to insert my own hardware to ensure the connections remained tight. They repeatedly came loose until I changed to better quality hardware!
