Kichler 15711SS 2-in-1 LED Accent, Stainless Steel

I've always liked Kichler lighting and their landscape lights are the best in the industry. More landscape designers recommend them over any other because of the quality and longevity. I have over 50 Kichler landscape lights on my property. Kichler provides a 15-yr warranty on their LED landscape lights. If their light fails to perform, you can return it to any Kichler dealer/distributor for a new one.This Kichler LED light can be installed underwater or out of water. If you choose this LED light for underwater installation, a bracket may not be necessary anyway since it can be nestled between rocks. However, if you install this light outside of your pond, you will more than likely need a bracket. This light doesn't come with a bracket, which is disappointing. You have to purchase one separately. The Kichler 15777SS stainless steel bracket or Kichler 15778BK plastic single fixture weighted base (black) can be purchased. The 15777SS is typically used out of water and the 15778BK is used underwater or out of water. Another disappointment is the fact that Kichler doesn't make an in-ground stake to use with the 15777SS bracket.As always, don't forget that you need a TRANSFORMER to power your low voltage lights, such as this Kichler LED light! Since I have so many landscape lights, I installed two 600wt transformers (i.e. one in the front yard and another in the back yard). I also have two separate 300wt transformers for my pond. There is a limit to the number of incandescent (halogen) landscape lights you can purchase. In addition, incandescent lights run very hot, require more power to run and they will cost more on your electric bill. I totally recommend LED lights vs. incandescent lights, but they cost more. However, if you purchase LED lights, they do not run hot, you can add as many as you want to one low voltage line running to the transformer (as long as the total wattage doesn't exceed the transformer). Another advantage is that LED lights will last 10-20 times longer than incandescent lights! These work well but are too expensive. In addition you have to purchase mounting base separately at yet additional cost.

Attractive, worked exactly as expected. Note that light is bright sharp clean white. These were installed by a professional electrician. i wash the offering had been more clear about the need to purchase a transformer.
