Mudder Hands Clock Movement, 3/25 Inch Maximum Dial Thickness, 1/2 Inch Total Shaft Length (Red)

Red hands look very nice. It's a silent, continuous mechanism. I wished the hands were a little sturdier, particularly the seconds one. But being careful and not needing to remove them, thus should be not an issue

I bought these for a clock I bought on line at photo place for a personal photo clock that broke day one. While assembly the arms, the second hand won't fit. I put it on backwards and push down, popped it off. The hole then fit and easily went on the clock. I forgot to measure the depth of the screw post on back of the my old clock assembly. That post was longer than this post. My dial thickness was more than 3/25 Inch. If you have a picture like mine, you need about 1/5" or 5/25", maybe even 6/25 inch clearance to be safe, for dial clearance. The post screws were just a couple of threads short. However, I modified my picture and was able to fit the assembly on tightly. The battery was easy to install and sits partially outside of the battery compartment. Once assembled, this Mudder assembly worked smoothly. It is still working two weeks later, a good sign. I really like the red hands as white and black did not work for this clock..

It's little tight, as smooth the diagram of hole..by sandpaper it slowly.It if we'll, and work prefect

I bought a different clock motor from Michaels, but the shaft was too long.This Mudder has a shorter shaft , about half an inch, which I needed for my 90's faux vintage Coke clock.The red hands match my clock. Mudder, you saved my clock from the garbage bin & gave it new life.It's Alive !! It's Alive !!

Perfect replacement for a defective clock

Worked out perfect for a project I was working on. Turned skateboard manufacturing scraps into a clock for my house. Nothing crazy but came out nice. The movement is fluid and as far as sound goes, it's virtually silent. Easy to assemble, if you can't, you probably are drunk.... Truthfully, the hands are kind cheap feeling and mine had some small dings in it, but only really noticeable up close.I ended up removing the "hanger" portion on the top with a Dremel. For my application, I was installing it into a square pocket so the hanger was a nuisance and unnecessary. Threw it on the CNC and made the square pocket, then recessed the area around the hole to make a spot for the rubber washer. Seriously a great little kit for the DIY person out there. Unfortunately, I got dyslexic for a second and switched up two numbers in my cut file, resulting in the numbers (12, 3, 6, 9) being off. But hey, first try.....

The clock mechanism was exactly as promised. The information in amazon gave me enough specifications to know that I was buying the correct product. I have now replaced my old clock mechanism that had worn out with this now one and it has been running perfectly every since I installed it about a month ago. The clock is and old Beatles album that has been converted into a clock in my recording studio. I love it because of the music theme but also because the clock mechanism needs to be silent, as this one is, to not interfere with unneeded room noise. It was very easy to remove the old one and install this new one. My last motor lasted about 5 years. I am expecting this one to last at least that long, probably longer. It appears to be pretty good quality for the money.

The media could not be loaded.  Absolutely excellent product! It is SILENT! not a tick nor a tock! I purchased this to replace the clock mechanism from a debenhams clock i purchased. The original mechanism that came with the clock was extremely loud! louder than the clock i had next to my bed! so i thought id give this a go.. When buying I knew Id face two issues, the original clock hands on my clock may not fit, and the clock hands that came with this new mechanism are too big.. but i thought the price was fair enough for me to give it a go,.. and I'm glad i did. I was right about the original hands not fitting on the new mechanism, so i had to make the new hands fit.. and that was quite easy actually.. a pair of pliers and i was able to cut the hands (all three of them actually) to my desired size (I think I could benefit from better craftsmanship though!).. Now i can sit in my living room without big ben banging around in my brain! Love it!

No instructions included

These are astoundingly cheap and I use them to make clocks with the grand kids. We cut out some thin plywood, sand it and then mark out the clock face. They can then decorate it any way they like and hey presto, a clock for their bedroom. There are so many skills used making these which hopefully help their development and I can't think of anything better because there's an actual useful end result. Oh, and it helps them tell the time as well.

Looks great, needed to replace my existing clock internals as my wife absolutely loves this clock and didn't want to throw it out. Individual hands are clear wrapped and must be peeled after installation. It doesn't 'tick' like traditional quartz movements but it's quiet ansd keeps accurate time!
