U.S. Divers Junior Regal Mask and Laguna Snorkel

I am REALLY surprised at the good reviews for this product. The clip on / off feature is nice for the mask but there is a HUGE design flaw. The clip that holds the snorkel to the mask strap is straight with the snorkel, and the mouth piece has no flexibility. What this means is that if the snorkel is clipped to the mask strap the mouth piece lines up under the child's chin. To move it to their mouth the clip bends the mask strap back. It is so uncomfortable an adult would never put up with it. I guess because kids are wearing this we don't pay attention to the discomfort of a bent strap over their ear, or a locked jaw from biting on the mouth piece after a few hours of swimming.

This was an awesome product, under general premise. These fit my ten-year old daughter very well, the colors were very pretty, and they didn't leak at ALL. I was very impressed and she would not go to the pool without her mask!! Sadly, after about the first month, the strap broke, (like completely ripped off, broke) and they were of course, unusable. For $25 I expected the strap to be able to withstand normal use by a child (and one who takes very good care of her things nonetheless - if this had been my son, I would have been less surprised because he is a little "harder" on his things). She cried and cried, so I attempted to contact the company. After emailing U.S. Divers about this, I was told there was "nothing they could do" because I had "no way of proving" this was a workmanship defect. To be honest, I did not inspect the strap to check for rips or tears that would have allowed this to happen so easily, but I don't see how she could have ripped them on her own. These seemed to be very high quality, so I was very disappointed - and out $25. If I could stomach spending that much on goggles again, I probably would have bought her the same pair. However, after the blatant disregard for our issue from the manufacturer, and their insinuation that she was strong enough to have ripped them by herself (with no defect), I decided against it. Very bummed... :(

Purchased this for my little ones ages 5 to 11. It fits all of them with no leaks. We've tried other discount sets from places like Walmart and have been disappointed. The silicone is soft and pliable making a smooth easy seal. The breathing tube has a device on the end that seals off when it dips below the surface of the water. It works really well! My kids have no problem with water getting in their mouth. We've used these in the ocean and swimming pools. Haven't tested in a lake yet because we are in Florida and I'm not interested in swimming with alligators.

I took my kids to the Keys and these worked great!!! They fit well, the snorkel attaches to the goggles to keep it upright (yeah...I kept holding/adjusting mine until my 8 yr old told me I was doing it wrong, lol) and stays put while swimming. Without the goggles, the salt water was very strong and burned our eyes (even when closed), but with theses on there were no leaks and we could see everything clearly. Worth buying over the cheap ones found in the seasonal section at the department stores, even if only used for a short time!

Ok 1st of all we are Sept 2018, and we just got back from vacation. I have 4 kids ages 12, 9,8 and 6 and they all have Walmart google. We went on vacation and we swam in beautiful clear blue waters that you can see the bottom. We needed google that they can float on the water and they can enjoy they vacation better next time we go, without them fighting Over who will get the breathing tube thing. (Whatever it is called) . So we plan on going back in December and this will be a gift for each of my kids. So far I love the product, it is heavy and thick material and I hope it does the job.P.s in December the waters are still warm up in 🇲🇽, so they will have a great time using it for hours and years to come.

I am very disappointed with this mask. We bought the U.S. divers kids scuba kit for my daughter 3 years ago and the mask is still my kids favorite. We figured we would just get the U.S. divers scuba mask for my son since hers was the favorite. We purchased it the end of March and the strap broke 2 months later. Of course right after the return window.Very disappointed.

After doing a lot of research on snorkels and what kind is best for kids we decided on this snorkel set. We tested it in a pool to get the hang of it before trying in the ocean. My daughter (6) had never used a snorkel before and it only took her a few minutes to get the idea and she loves snorkeling now. She's used it on 2 trips to Florida as well as in our pool at home. She hasn't had any issues with water coming into the snorkel. These type of sets are much safer than the alternative full mask set and I'm happy we decided on this set.

I have a very picky 9 yo boy that doesn't like his face in the water, but planning for the hotel pool on vacation he asked for a snorkel mask and I ordered this one. Yeah, it worked! After a little adjusting and practice, he was really happy with it. Whatever will get him swimming with a smile on his face is worth it.

Bought two of these, for my 9 year old daughter and 7 year old son. They fit great, a little stiff at first, but I think they'll soften up a bit. No leaks at all first try out and I love that they can go under the water without water getting in the snorkel. I feel they'd like it a lot less if that was the case and they wouldn't like inhaling water by accident. I shopped around a lot for prices for these, Incl Canadian Tire, these were the best price by far. A lot of plastic packaging though that I don't think is necessary.
