This was the 4th or 5th power supply I ordered for my Alesis DM5 Drum kit. Should have gotten it first. Worked perfectly for Alesis DM5 Drum kit!

Alesis DM5 user here, had my module stored for over a decade and couldn't find the cord and this worked perfectly! Simple plug and play use, durable feeling and it powered up my module without issue.

This solved alllll my problems. I bought a kit (DM10) secondhand and the adapter they gave me was not the correct one. It would turn on but no sound. All pads were firing at once. I was panicking! It was suggested on a Facebook group that I buy this and thank goodness! As soon as this was plugged in, the whole kit worked! I’ve been using it since Christmas and it’s been working perfectly. This is perfectly compatible with the Alesis DM10 studio mesh kit! It’s also significantly cheaper than if I bought the original on EBay! I’ve moved the kit around a few times and the cord/adapter is durable! I’ve never heard of an AC/AC adapter before, If you’re wondering how necessary it is, it’s 1000000% necessary. You NEED the AC/AC to make it work. (I added a photo from when I was using a regular 9v AC/DC adapter, it was making the module lag, and you can see all pads and rims were triggered, it produced ZERO sound)

Received the transformer in a plastic sack. Although the tip fit my application, there was no other tips inclosed as advertised in the description. It works great for my Alesis product.

This not not fit/work with newer Alesis SR16, check the voltage printed by the power supply input jack

I had used another power adapter that by all specifications shoukd have worked fine with my alesis sr-16 (early 90s first gen) but had loud noise and I thought it was fried. Bought this adapter, now it works absolutely fine. Not all adapters are equal and you can’t just depend on the specifications sometimes, but this will absolutely work for an alesis sr-16 (again, the early 90d one. Later generations of that use something entirely different)
