Somersaults Crunchy Sunflower Seed Bites, Dutch Cocoa (20 Ounce Bag)

What happened to this once delicious snack?!?! I've been buying Somersaults Dutch Cocoa bites regularly for several years now. At first, they were a plump, round, quarter-sized disk packed with seeds! Over the past year, I noticed there simply weren't that many seeds in each bite any more. I'd been buying them at both Raleys and WholeFoods. For the past year, I could NEVER find them on the shelf. So, I was beyond THRILLED when they appeared at CostCo. Well, that was sure short-lived. CostCo stopped selling them after just a month or so. Now I know why! They've completely redone the recipe here. The latest jumbo bag I bought a couple weeks ago at Amazon.com is AWFUL. No other word for it. The bites are now puny, about the diameter of a nickel. Nearly ALL seeds are completely gone. Furthermore, this batch of bites must've been left in the oven too long, cuz they are nearly burnt. In fact, they taste like stale oil, burnt, puny, unhealthy buttons. Utterly unsatisfying. I will no longer be buying these at any store as once again, I, the consumer, have been RIPPED OFF with a product that started out fabulous, but over time, the vendor wanted to shave 50-cents off each bag. So the recipe has been tinkered with to make these much cheaper, and as a result, pathetic in taste, look and size. Note to Somersaults: go back to the kitchen. Find your passion, and re-do these Dutch Cocoa bites. Do a taste comparison test yourselves. Be honest. Deliver quality and taste once again.

I, like another reader, found these at Costco. These are very yummy, not overly sweet but do satisfy the sweet tooth. If you are able to buy at Costco you will save about $10.00. I couldn't remember how much I paid at Costco so I bought here on Amamzon. Same exact size and $10.00 more expensive. Get at Costco if you can

This large bag of Somersaults was very oily. I have had these several times before, from Amazon or Target, in 6 ounce bags. For some reason only the large bag of Summersaults were oily, and terrible. Maybe it was a bad batch, but I won't buy this size package again.

These are the best snack ever. You get a choclate treat plus a crunch factor all with a good ratio of protein, can't get much better than that.

Great chocolate sunflower taste without being too sweet. These are light and crispy, a house favorite and my little grandson loves them!

Delicious! Love these!! One of the few snacks that don't hurt my sensitive teeth. They are chocolate but aren't sweet like a candy so much.
