👍 Briggs and Stratton
I Have to I am glad I bought this Briggs and Stratton carburetor, and paid the extra money instead of buying a Chinese piece of crap which is what my local hardware store tried to get me to buy. It took maybe 30 minutes to install and works great. Everything is five stars. The only issue is my tillers is idling a little lower than it should but that is probably an adjustment issue.

The Experts Say Stick With OEM Carbs
I have been told by "expert" small engine mechanics to pay the extra money to get OEM branded carburetors. True or not, this worked as expected. The photo and description did NOT include or show gaskets. One of two gaskets did come in the box. Only the outboard (least important) one was supplied, so I had to cut a new gasket to fit the inboard (between motor block and carb). Not an easy task if you dont have round hole punches. Fortunately I had a piece of metal pipe I sharpened to use as a punch for the large hole, and used a spent 38 cal. bullet shell to punch the bolt holes. There is another very small hole necessary that I had an old paperboy paper punch and got it pretty close. It's all together and motor fires up nicely.OPTIONS FOR GASKETS TO CONSIDER:1. Buy gasket paper and cut (and punch) your own2. Purchase one of the aftermarket carbs and utilize the gaskets they supply3. Carefully remove the old ones and use them.4. Use a thick liquid gasket made for gasoline environment applications (last resort)

Almost a perfect fit
I needed to change out the carburetor on my log splitter and I wasn't going to pay $300 to do it so I went ahead and ordered this and it was just as easy as everybody else says and the shop that I called says, the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the fuel intake is at a 90° angle not a 45° angle like the one from the factory and it made it quite a bit harder to get the fuel line on but other than that everything fit and went smoothly, my log splitter fired up on the first pull after replacing it. Make sure to keep the little plastic choke piece from your old one it does not come with that so you will need to put that on and if you're putting it on a log splitter like mine for the fast and slow piece that goes directly to the fuel line I had to drill a hole for the little small safety catch line, but it was pretty easy and I did have to use one of the old gaskets cuz the ones they sent didn't all fit. Other than that everything went smooth I was done in less than an hour.

Easy to install
I bought it for my Agro fab leaf vac, and it works really well. Turns out the carburetor wasn’t the problem in the first place but… At least, now I have experience changing a carburetor

Paid extra money for OEM carburetor and has the wrong fuel shutoff valve arm (TOO SHORT)
As so many others have commented, this overpriced OEM Briggs and Stratton carburetor does not fit without changing the fuel shutoff plastic arm over from old carb. Its twice the money as a chinese knockoff!! Also the OEM box was damaged and the gaskets are missing. Part # 596079 is not a direct replacement from the manufacturer. Buy the knockoff for less.
