Lovely and informative book

This has to be one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever purchased.I’m a fan of botanical drawing, but never really knew anything about it as there’s not much on the open web about it. I came across a video featuring Angela Lober, one of the artists and board members of this society in Australia. I was fascinated by her work so I looked up some of these types of books (there’s a whole bunch by the way - do different areas of the world by different plant societies).Anyways, this book has to be one of the nicest botanical illustration books I’ve ever bought. The illustrations (paintings?) are beautiful, clear, huge color prints on glossy paper. The detail and color is stunning, the illustrations are modern and inspiring (vs just a centered specimen - they come off the page or frame the white space of the page nicely). They’re all works of art, all beautiful.And as someone who’s always wondered “how does one get into botanical illustration?” - I was lucky enough to find an entire biography section highlighting each artist and their background.Highly recommend.
