These just arrived, so I haven't tried them extensively. I'm assuming that I paid Covid prices, because I've bought a whole cast iron dumbell set for only about £10 more from Argos last year.I bought these because I wanted to put the spare weights from my sets to use and make some lighter warm-up weights.The bars have a tough plastic coating, and my first impression was that they were more plasticy than I'd have hoped, though the description says there's a metal core. The locking nuts also feel like bog standard plastic, but were very tight and felt secure - with my other set you can quickly spin them on and off, but these can't, so if you like to quickly add or remove weights, they're possibly not for you. On the other hand, these definitely won't come loose during a workout, so perhaps use them for weights that you're not goint to regularly adjust.The grip is good and won't slip, and the whole thing looks okay but I personally don't like all of the red detailing.

These were perfect. I found some weights in my cupboard, left by previous people but no bar. This bar fits perfectly, nice to grip and doesn't cause rubbing.

Yeah decent purchase will definitely meet my needs. The hand grip is wide enough to accommodate my hands with space to spare. Allows me to load up with approximately 17 kg a combination of plastic and metal weights. A little pricey but sturdy and will do the job.

Excellent grip. I have more expensive spin lock dumbells, than these. That always need tightening after a few exercises. These ones with 5kg plates on, honestly haven't came loose since purchasing. Used four days a week. But I have them set with weights that I don't change. Certainly a good purchase compared to my more expensive ones.

Cheep and time consuming to load and unload weights.

These bars are very sturdy and a good quality. They are nice to the touch and the weights stay secure with the screw clips at the end.
