I don't use my AeroPress on a daily basis at home, but I carry it when I travel. Recently I was staying in a rental condo and, of course, had my coffee press with me. One morning I started to make my coffee and discovered, to my dismay, that I had accidentally thrown this part away the previous day! AAAGGH! (The trash was long gone, no digging through a trash can to find it). This part is vital for using the press. I went online and ordered this replacement immediately. No more coffee on my trip, but when I got the part, it fits perfectly. I was thrilled to find that I could get replacement parts and didn't have to replace the whole AeroPress.
