Great mount and exactly what i needed. For all those wondering, this can be mounted to a wall as well as a ceiling. The actual part that gets bolted to you're ceiling or wall can swivel 180 degrees. So if you want to mount it to a rafter or joist, like i did, it is not a problem.Mine is mounted to an outdoor pergola. Not sure how well it will hold up to the outdoor weather, however it isn't made for outdoors, so no big deal if it doesn't fare well. After a few weeks it's looking good tho!

I have an at home office, and due to the nature of my job I need several different pieces of equipment. However, desk space is a premium to some degree. So I was looking for some way to mount a tv that did not take up desk space but still allowed me to be able to see the tv. And I wanted it to swivel so that I could sit on the futon in my office and use the tv for non work related functions. This fit the bill perfectly.I had concerned that it would be difficult, or time consuming to install. I am a middle age woman with a great deal of fluff and mobility issues (unrelated to being fluffy) and installation was not hard at all. It came with almost everything to install (needed a drill and the bit). It took about 15 minutes to have everything hung, installed and ready for use. And that included removing the legs from the bottom of the tv. The TV I am using it with is a Haier 32 inch TV. However I also tried with a larger tv and it also lined it (it was Vizeo) but I lacked actually room to use it. It was nothing that mount could not support.The directions are really easy to follow, and everything is laid out really simply. I like that fact its a matte black and nothing something blinding and gaudy. and although the TV doesn't move on it's own you don't have to have a great amount of strength to turn the tv either. Just all around fantastic. I am thinking about buying another one for the bedroom. Not sure why Amazon is putting pictures sideways (sorry)

I really like it. tI does every thing I need and it was easy to install. Very adjustable to almost any height and angle. I do wish the bolts that connect the two down tubes were pins instead so that I could remove it easier. I have this installed in a a gazebo and when I'm out of town I take the TV down. It takes less than a minute but pins would be better than bolts. FYI - I use it on a 46" TV

It served its purpose with some minor modifications specific for my needs. Also had to swap a different tv to use with this mount as the mounting bracket that attached to the tv doesn't seem to fit any tv older than about 3 years old. My newer tv we purchased last year worked fine with it. If I ever had to purchase another one id probably research some others to see if the price difference would be worth it for something thats more universal

I love this mount!!!! See my review for the larger mount - I bought it first but really needed this smaller mount. The ceiling mounting hardware is the same for both the large and small mounts. The tv brackets are different but can be interchanged on the ceiling mount. I used the large mount to install another tv I have in an outdoor area. Works Great!!!! Planning on buying a third mount for a tv on my outside deck area!!!!
