I purchased these to hold together the corners for gluing of some picture frames I was making. For successful gluing of wood joints, you want to apply pressure to the joint, but these clamps don't actually provide any pressure to the joint, but just sort of hold the pieces in position. They may turn out to be useful as a 3rd hand in building something, but they are not really suitable for use in gluing wooden corner joints.

Clamps can be hard to fully open, as mentioned by other reviewers. A simple solution is to use a small (6”) quick release clamp to compress the spring, position the angle clamp, then release the spring. I do this and it’s quick and easy.

"I thought it would be bigger" internet disappointment strikes again! Yes, I should have looked at the numbers better.These look so cool, but....the jaws BARELY open up big enough to hold a 1x4, so these are probably good for small picture frames and that's it. And who builds their own small picture frames?They also don't hold boards at an accurate 90° unless you're building a box and have all four corners clamped at the same time. And they don't hold "T's." They were worthless when we were building a (decorative) ladder out of 1x4's.You need impressive hand strength to get them on, which my teenage son possesses, but I apparently do not.We would use these if they could open up to hold a 2x4, but they don't, which also means they don't hold 2x2's, either.They're going back and we're getting the screw-type corner clamps. They don't look as cool, but they actually work!

Finally got to use these last night to build a frame my undermount sink. These worked like a charm. The spring is pretty tight so make sure you get a good grip. Easier to use with 2 people - 1 to squeeze the trigger and 1 to move the adjustable guide. But it’s a good thing so you know your pieces are held securely. I measured each time we put them on even though I made markings for positioning just to be safe. And they were accurate every time.

They would probably work well if I could squeeze them easily to install. They are definitely made for men with strong hands, sadly I have arthritis in my hands so I’m not able to use them. I’m hoping to find some way to be able to squeeze them easily.

The corners are strong, but they won’t do the one task they are supposed to do: hold frames together for flawless gluing. The plastic isn’t strong enough, so if you clamp from the bottom, the top of the corners open up a bit (and if you clamp from the top, the bottoms open up). You can correct that with a cord clamp, but if you have one already, why bother with these corners?Spend a little more and buy ones that will actually work.

Clamps are weak and difficult to get corners set right. Bought as a time saver but found I would spend more time fighting with the clamps and wood than I normally would have just using blocks to press the project together. Last thing anyone needs is to have wood glue drying and not have the clamps work or spend half the set time fighting to get everything perfect with poorly built clamps.

As you'd expect from the price, it's not heavy duty. But they're cheap and work well.If you don't have 4 sets of hands and need to assemble something light (lexan display case for me), they're great. The smallest aperture is 5mm (about 1/5th inch), if you need to use it on something smaller, furniture pads (little felt self adhesives) work perfectly.
