Like others have said, the threads can strip pretty easily if you're not careful, but if you are careful it should last forever, What I did was, I screwed the sections on "very" carefully and then closed each section relatively hard/snug. I loosened and tightened it several times ...back and forth w/o completly removing any sections to create a perfect fit assuming some threads are a little rough from a poor casting. I also took a triple zero steel wool and ran it around the threads to knock off any tiny pieces of loose or sharp metal. I think this is a great grinder for the money. Nice and big with lots of very sharp teeth. There's more teeth on this thing than on most other grinders of this size...especially for this price. It grinds a little too course for me, so what I do is I keep it upside down and grind twice as long as I might in a grinder thats made for a vaporizer. By keeping it upside down it won't pass through the holes until you turn it right side up as you finish your grind.

If you go to a headshop for your "herb grinder", you will pay x5 this much for a grinder that performs just as well. I've had the same one for over 4 years, and let me tell you - it's seen some pounds of oregano. I'm a big fan of the little pollen scoop that comes with the bottom chamber. I recommend this product to all of my friends who need a grinder for their herbs.

The main reason I'm giving this grinder 4 stars instead of 3 is because of its price point ($12.99).TL;DR: great, cheap grinder for on-the-go; doesn't hold much more than a 2.5" grinder though so be prepared for that. I would recommend this for travel use and not for someone who smokes frequently everyday.The GOOD: - $12.99 for a 3" grinder (very hard to find this price point for a similar size, anything over 2.5" really) - it works - dry, popcorn-size nugs do very well in this grinder - the kief screen isn't perfect but it does the job, pollen is collected after minimal grinds - the magnet is fairly strong and keeps the lid on, I've never had it come off while in my travel bagThe BAD: - not much room in the flower chamber - could maybe hold an eighth without spilling (not much space between the walls and the screen so it's more of a height issue than a diameter one). Compared to a 3.5" grinder (i.e Sharpstone, Space Case, etc) which can hold 1/4 - 1/2 oz - the top piece of the grinder is fairly light and thin, making it a bit harder to grind larger nugs. Not a big issue if you just tear them up a little first. If your bud isn't completely dry then be prepared to use a poker to un-stick the herb from the grinder's teeth (essentially it smashes it as opposed to grinding it) - similar to the above point, the teeth are very close together which doesn't give much room for buds to fall into the flower chamber, causing buds to stick - after using this maybe ~20 times I can already feel the threads slipping when tightening. hence the mention for this to be a travel-only grinder :)

THIS GRINDER IS THE BEST IN THE GAME. The amount of keef that this grinder gets in a short amount of time is insane !! 10/10 just treat it with care.

Amazing grinder at $12.99. Mine was on sale but neither here nor there. What matters is the quality you get, the size you get, without spending anymore than you would at your local smoke shop or corner store. Mine was ordered on 12/16/17, arrived two days later and has been VERY VERY regularly used since then. The screen is still nice and taught despite its large surface area. The teeth are still as efficient as ever and not to mention it’s innate ability to produce ample amounts of pollen from even small amounts of herb. I have only one suggestion, either add a few more threads around the main chamber or change to a slightly more coarse thread count. It’s beginning to strip threads, due to its size and small threads, it can be at times difficult to align properly. Within a few seconds it’s attached properly but after hundreds of “on-offs” the two, yes just two, threads holding it tight tend to wear a bit.Otherwise the very best purchase I’ve ever made, out of all my herbal utilities.Update: the threads crossed so badly that it seized up and had to be cut open. I ordered a new one and threads on just as poorly but the grinding quality is so superior that it’s worth the hassle of reordering every 6 months or so.Update 11/21/19It’s still squeaky af but no compromises on grinding and hash production. I still give this thing 4 stars and plan on making it a stocking stuffer. Cheap, quick way to say I love you and I promise they’ll love it so much for the price, they’ll end up doing the same for someone they love!

I bought this grinder in March 12th 2016, I love this grinder, I've had it over 2 years and it's still great. This morning at 2 am I dropped the top of the grinder into a lake. So obviously have to buy a new one. I am choosing to repurchase this one for many reasons. One of those being the insane amount of keef you get with this grinder. It's like the gauge (the weave pattern) of the screen between the ground heeb part and the keef tray is larger than with other grinders.

I owned a Black kingtop grinder for 3 years and after many many grinds it eventy got to clogged to grind like it used too. My friends also dropped it a few times so it go damaged a lot as it's Zinc and not Aluminum.All I can say is that if your a person who grinds a lot and don't like normal 2-2.5" grinders then this is the one you should buy. While it is zinc and not Aluminum I don think it makes that much of a difference. Only for durability. With it's 80+ teeth it can shred threw anything you put into it.It is and always will be my favorite grinder available. The only way to best it is to make it out of aluminum.

It is very good at doing what it's supposed to do, such a shame the threading is slightly off. But still up there with the sharpest of the sharp 👍

magnet seems strong..busts up bud great..teeth are sharp (hence its also brand new at the moment)couple turns your good to go..just give it a tap on a table before you open it..if you put a lot of buds in it i find it all grinds down to one side so when you unscrew to open it, everythings sitting on the right side and almost spilled out lol..tap it to distribute evenly 'my opinion' holds a lot..hubby smokes a lot and this 3 inch grinder is big yes but better than the last one we had..comes with pollen/kief scraper---nice touch.. see pics for references on size and what not..worth $20**im always worried on buying things without reviews or pics on the item so i took a bunch for any potential buyers...ENJOY!!PS...AFTER YOU OPEN IT YOU HAVE A HALF INCH DEPTH INSIDE TO HOLD YOUR BUSTED UP BUD FYI..

I received it recently and it was in good condition.Now, understand this grinder is good. Like it does perfectly the job and i totally recommand it. However, when i received it, i washed it because i wanted to clean it (like when you wash a new pair of jeans) so if any chip of paint was on the verge of breaking, at least it wouldn't go in my weed. Sadly the magnet on the lid started to leave his little hole, so it didnt close properly afterward. I had to hit it gently to put it back in place. So i would suggest to be careful if you bought or planning to buy it. Take note that i only bought one, so i don't know if i was the unlucky one but i still would buy it. Great grinder for the price and the size is bueno
