YLI 21100-004 3-Ply T-40 Cotton Hand Quilting Thread, 1000 yd, Rust

This thread breaks a lot easier than the other YLI T-40 Cotton Hand Quilting Thread we have bought before.I bought 10 rolls of this thread for my wife, who hand quilts probably more than anyone you've ever met. She sews 8-10 hours every day, and quilts most of those days.This thread makes her angry, because it breaks so often. YLI thread has really gone downhill.I don't recommend it until they quit making it in China.

Love this thread for hand-quilting! It's easy to handle & use as it slides through the fabric flawlessly. I was having issues with my thread tangling with some other threads I used for hand-quilting, but am loving this one! I do a lot of quilting - all of it by hand - and this is the perfect thread to use. I'm also working on hand-quilting some old quilt tops passed down to me from my grandmother's hands & want to use nothing but the best to finish them. Very happy with this product!

The thread itself is just fine for hand quilting, but the color isn't as expected. I have never had a problem with selecting the right color with my computer, but was surprised to see that the thread that arrived was a very yellowed off-white, not the off-white pictured. Lucky for me, the fabric on my antique quilt was aged so the thread color wound up working.

My favorite quilting thread. To those who want to learn a very fine quilting stitch, skip the bulky "cheap" stuff & go straight to this brand of consistently good thread 👍

I have used this brand for years in hand quilted projects. Because it is a long-staple Egyptian cotton the fibers are very smooth don't fray or tangle easily. It is also colorfast important when using on various fabrics. And the best part was the price - fantastic!! A very good deal! I will be purchasing thread from this vendor again!

No other hand quilting thread even comes near the quality of this thread. It slides so easily thru the needle, never shreds while quilting.. This is the only thread I use since I found this perfect brand, You could never go wrong using this one.

The YLI 100% 40/3 ply cotton quilting thread is my all time favorite, and the Light Brown is my go-to color for the majority of my quilt piecing - it blends very well on most fabrics. It has a glazed finish, pulls very smoothly, very strong and crisp. Low loft, no thread dust or shedding. The 1,200 yard cone fits easily on a standard sewing machine (I use a Bernina Aurora) and is a terrific value - I only wish YLI would sell more in this size on Amazon. Great quilting or all purpose thread.
